Kate Winslet Wants More Awards, Head To HBO To Make It Happen

Kate Winslet will be working with Killer Films to develop a new miniseries for HBO. The five-hour-long adaptation of James M. Cain’s novel, Mildred Pierce, will star the Oscar winner as Mildred, a single mother during the Great Depression.
Yeah, this has the makings of an Emmy win written all over it!

Re: boredme – She really is in her 30s. She looks it to me. It's just that so many older actresses in their 40s+ try to look and act so much younger. And the ones in their 20s and 30s are trying to be 10 years younger too. Not that it's a bad thing, might as well stay young while you can. Anyway…check out Kate's first movie "Heavenly Creatures" directed by Peter Jackson. She was 17 in that and it was made in the 90s, so there is proof for anyone questioning her age. Plus she was GREAT in it! My favorite all time movie and my favorite role she has played!

Anything Kate is in is awesome because she is awesome - she is by far the best actress of her generation! Why it took so long for the Academy to recognize her talent is beyond me.
The fact that the post mentions nothing about the fact that this would be a remake of a classic movie strongly suggests that Perez has no idea about the iconic Joan Crawford role/movie, for which she won an Oscar.

Re: Spindoc – You're right. I just watched "All About Eve" w/Bette Davis. She seemed so phony compared to the rest of the cast. The only person in the cast that was any good was an un-exploited young Marilyn Monroe.
Thank god she's not going to be naked in this film. her body is frumpy and lumpy. enough with her droopy tits.
