Her album has gotten pushed back, all her appearances have been canceled, and now, Mariah Carey's Vegas show isn't stirring up as much buzz as everyone would have hoped.
Tickets are still available for her OPENING NIGHT at the Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort, where she is supposed to have a residency in September.
And the theater is only 2,500 seats!
GOOD seats are still available!
Maybe she isn't really as popular as they claim her to be?

She has not done anything good for years. When she was still with Sony, she did her best work. She went crazy after Luis Migeul dumped her and tried to be all ghetto. Doesn't seem to be the case. I just pulled up the best 2 seats availiable and they were 7 rows from the very back, the cheapest seats. I haven't seen much promotion about it so maybe the word hasn't gotten around to many people. It'll sell out.

She will already go down in history as the biggest selling female artist in the history of recorded music… she has nothing to prove. But instead she continues to record for the sake of those that do like her music. She has a new single which has maintained its position in the Top 20 for several weeks now (a mean feat for an artist approaching 40 or 50 or however old she is), a movie coming out that was universally praised by the critics and a perfume to add to her collection of best-selling fragances. You'd think she'd done something awful to you the way you go after her. She's hardly a mean lady…

Re: Unari – I don't know why all the people supporting Whitney are being so hateful toward Mariah. Mariah has shown she is capable of writing deep songs with complicated melodies and lyrics. Some examples being 'Outside' and the song 'Sunflowers', which she wrote for her late father. So I don't think your comment that a 12 year old could write the songs is reasonable. As a songwriter, she has come up with timeless classics like the Christmas song 'All I Want For Christmas' and years later is able to create current music such as 'Obsessed'. Course it would it be nice for Whitney's sales to surpass all the other divas! But let's wait for it to happen before we start declaring 'Obsessed' a flop. 'I Look To You' isn't at the top of the Billboards but it's a brilliant song and is hardly a flop. Mariah isn't a nasty person and has always said wonderful things about Whitney (unlike even lesser performers)… so why be negative towards her.

Most ehr shows weren't even canceld. Most of them were just pushed back to around the date of the new release date of her album. And the PEARL concert would have gotten more sales if she actually put out a GOOD first single, but no, she had to release some auto-tuned crap as the first single.

Celine also heavily promoted the show with its Cirque Du Soleil theme, and she also played more dates. Mariah has hardly done any promotion for her upcoming show (which is kind of stupid on her part), and the tickets have only been on sale for a short while. This is not a world tour like Madonna's show, so I don't know why these lunatic Madonna fans feel the need to compare them. It's just 4 shows. Dupri naturally assured her telling her Madonna had nothing on her and so both dissed Madonna over the phone. Thing is, Dupri was in an interview at that time and the interviewer heard them!!.. Some of her #1s have stayed at the top for up to 16 weeks. You really think a #1 single could "be bought" for that long of a time? She only proved she was ahead of her time by making them affordable. Now you can buy anyone's single for 99 cents. If Mariah manipulated the charts to get her No 1s, why haven't other people replicated that approach? Because the truth is marketing strategies adopted for some of her singles do not demean her achievements. People should be celebrating this wonderful lady of colour managing to achieve all these No 1s, in a male dominated world, overcoming so many hardships to inspire everyone to feel happy! But so many people are mean to this lovely sweet lady, who has never even hurt a fly. And the fact that she said on BET to PLEEEASE download her song shows she's not phoney!
