No One Wants To See Mimi In Concert! Are They Gonna "Postpone" This Too???

Her album has gotten pushed back, all her appearances have been canceled, and now, Mariah Carey's Vegas show isn't stirring up as much buzz as everyone would have hoped.
Tickets are still available for her OPENING NIGHT at the Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort, where she is supposed to have a residency in September.
And the theater is only 2,500 seats!
GOOD seats are still available!
Maybe she isn't really as popular as they claim her to be?
Sad times for MiMi.

I don't think Mariah is headed for the career or mental breakdown Mario would like you to believe or hope; after all, her "flop" single is doing better thans some others out there. I do believe she should pay attention to what the majority is saying, though: give up this auto-tune, fake-ass R&B/hip hop crap and start using the voice again that made you famous in the first place. Stop pretending you're young or you're not talented. Your latest single would have been better on Ciara, PCDs, or any of those other talentless hacks we won't be hearing from in 10 years time, not some soon to be 40 year old. Your body is OK, but it's not all that, and you need to stop flashing it around like it's your only asset these days. Hire a vocal coach to work on some of those vocal problems you're having. You can still sing; you just need to learn to sing in your range, because you can't get those high notes like you used to. You don't need to dumb your lyrics down or use improper grammar to sound current, either. Doubt you're reading this, but I thought I'd share some constructive criticism.
woriah is so over
oh lordy hope things turn for the better.
Re: Luckykat – Yea, Kat. Having the most commercially successful song and CD of 2005 really must have sent her into a plunging state of depression. 10 years? I think not.
Oh, Mario, you make me laugh. You're postings are so biased it's ridiculous. So Mariah's single "Obsessed" DEBUTS at #11 on the Hot 100 and it's a "flop". But Madonna's single "Celebration" debuts at #71 on the Hot 100 and we only get postings about how well her tour is doing?
This whole Madonna vs. Mariah "feud" between their fans is ridiculous. Both of them are music legends. Personally, I'm a Mariah fan, but people with strong opinions fighting people with opposite strong opinions never goes anywhere…
Re: Madonna_#1fan_4ever! – oh yeah she did it bitch….TOUCH MY BODY REMEMBER…..5 MORE THAN olDONNA right??
HA HA HA LUV IT!
"We Belong Together" was probably the closest to old school Mariah that listeners have heard in a long time. It had a hook, a melody, little more mature lyrics, and some of her best vocals, which is why it was such a massive hit.
Re: Madonna_#1fan_4ever! – I completely agree:
"MADONNA IS RECESSION PROOF! Her Sticky and Sweet Tour is the highest grossing tour by a solo artist ever! She is packing stadiums around the world and making more money then ever."
It was just officialy said today that She is postponing all of her appearances, not cancelling them. They are being postponed because she is busy finishing her album.
Postponing album release dates are nothing new people, get a fucking life.
Re: DanielDax – I totally agree with every word you said. It was OK when Mariah subtly toyed around with R&B e.g Fantasy with ODB, The Roof, or Breakdown, but when it's like every single song on your album! If she got some vocal lessons it would help her tremendously because it will allow for her voice to finally mature rather than be a shadow of what it used to be like it is now.
That's sad. I am sure it's hard when you've been on top, but there's nothing wrong with stepping away from the limelight to find yourself and learn how to be happy without the approval and $$$ of the masses. Sounds like time for a break.
Madonna tops Forbes World's Highest Earning Musicians list
1. Madonna ($120 million). The Material Girl took in $105.3 million from touring, in addition to $14.8 million from music sales. It’s hard to decide what’s more impressive. The average gross at her shows, mostly in stadiums, was $5.5 million, and she drew about 36,000 people per show. Additionally, the average ticket price was $153.88, easily the highest among Pollstar’s Top 50 grossing tours. Worldwide, according to Pollstar, she amassed $295.6 million.

Re: Musictomyearification – Who cares how many #1's and 'chart hits' she's had? It doesn't matter if people don't want to come and see you perform. She's BORING in concert.
YA SHE IS PRETTY PASSE BYE BYE MIMI MOO!! BUT THE BITCH DOES OWN MARIYLN MONROE'S WHITE PIANO. I WOULD LOVE THAT!
Re: Moluver –
If it weren't for all the dancers, special lighting, massive stage sets, and highly choreographed, non-spontaneous numbers, Madonna would be just as boring.
The fact is that Mariah Carey has no talent in doing a show, simple and straight, which coincide with this story here. Her tour sales, e.g. the adventure of mimi (backed by her huge "comeback") are only a small fraction of other divas, Madonna, Celine, Whitney, even Beyonce and Britney.
Re: ellesin98 – Oh God, PLEASE do not even compare Mariah and Britney. If it means sacrificing dance moves to hear Mariah sing LIVE, I'd choose that ANY DAY. Britney nowadays moves like a sloth and we all know she never sings live. She's probably the most useless artist out there.
And give it a rest, Madonna fans. Success isn't measured in wealth. If that's the only counter-argument you have to combat Mariah's overwhelming success on the Billboard charts, then I'm sorry but you lose.
Re: GottaShakeItOff – Nobody is denying Mariah's overwhelming Billboard Hot 100 success, she is absolutely one of the most influential diva ever. Mind you, the success you are proud of is also about commercial success, and it is not even relevant to this topic.
No matter how irritated you are, her tour couldn't gross half of Britney's. Useless or not she is, the public determines, so this kind of attacks only disgrace yourself. Divas with big vocals, like Celine and Whitney, can also come up with interesting shows that sold out around the world, I am sorry I didn't see this ever happened with Mariah.
Re: ellesin98 –
Perhaps you don't see it because you aren't looking for it. You're just looking for the negative. Mariah's never toured much in her career, and she admits she hates it. She's only been on two actual real world tours, neither considered a failure. She's not going to get the numbers Britney or Madonna get, because she doesn't play to those type of people who would go see them. As far as Celine, Madonna, etc. having more interesting shows–that's all subjective. I wouldn't see Mariah in concert, because I'm not that much of a fan, but I wouldn't see Britney or Madonna, mainly b/c I don't like them, but to me, their concerts are the equivalent of summer blockbuster movies–all smoke and mirrors–mainly distractions to hide the fact they couldn't carry a show just by raw talent alone. I've seen Stevie Nicks, Tori Amos, Melissa Etheridge, etc. where there were no costume changes or elaborate stage sets–they just got up there and sang and made their shows interesting by engaging with the crowd, and it wasn't any of that fake "How are you all doing, London!" B/S either. I've seen better shows in coffee shops and city parks than I have in large arenas. What's boring for some may be entertaining to others, so you can't say someone is not entertaining, and just because they don't make the money Britney or Madonna make by touring, it doesn't make them failures.
Awwww poor Mimi!!!! She's sooo amazing! She's a little not swift (hence Glittergate) but still she has an amazing voice! Isn't that what it's supposed to be about?
