Fishy Phelps Knocked Back A Brew Before The Accident!!
Turns out Michael Phelps was drinking before last Thursday's car accident in Maryland!
Phelps downed a beer an hour and 15 minutes before the accident occurred, he admitted to police!
Baltimore police have ruled out the booze as the cause for the accident because Fishy showed "no signs of alcohol impairment."
Although the other driver, Amanda E. Virkus, was at fault for the collision (she ran a red light), do U think the beer may have had an impact on Phelps' reaction time????
INTERESTINGLY enough, police did not administer Phelps any sobriety tests.

Sorry, but I'm with Perez. Anyone who has ever been stopped by the cops after drinking claims they have only had one or two drinks. I am not saying Phelps is responsible, however, the fact that he was driving without proper id and he admitted that he had been drinking would have been a red flag in my town. He was not given a sobriety test b/c of his fame, end of story. Any other town in the U.S. would have done so considering. I just know, it's my job.

finding someone "at fault" doesn't necessarily mean they really are. Cops could have been awestruck by the guy and knew that giving him a sobriety test would do in his career…so they found another reason to blame the other person. Maybe she ran it, maybe she didn't. The bottom line…he was found innocent by the cops…so we'll never know. As for the ONE beer……yeah, right! Everyone knows that's what you tell a cop if you get stopped after having a few drinks so that it doesn't look like you're covering something up.
