The Material Mom was serenaded by tens of thousands of concertgoers with a rousing rendition of Happy Birthday before she sang You Must Love Me.

      Hey Perez, I went to this concert in Warsaw last night. For 2 hours Madonna was dancing, jumping and singing. It was fantastic. People sang to her "Happy Birthday" and Polish "Happy Birthday" which is called "May you live 100 years". Madonna said it was her best birthday so far. Hundreds of people held up white hearts with "Happy Birthday" or "I love you", but one young kid was pretty cheeky and he held up the white heart with "Adopt me". Everybody was laughing. People went crazy during tribute to Michael Jackson with the dancer impersonator and the show ended with another MJ song. There were over 100 thousand people and the cheapest standing ticket was $80. People came from all over Poland to see the show. It was amazing to see what effect Madonna has on people: teenagers coming to the show of 51 year old woman. Amazing. Personally, I loved that most old songs had a different musical arrangements. She is so innovative.

However, in their short years as a group, they have accomplished much more than she has in 25 years, including more #1s. Their influence and sound is still heard in today's music. How many times has Madonna had her songs remade? I'm sure you will find more people citing SGT PEPPERS or THE WHITE ALBUM as an influence than you will RAY OF LIGHT. For her to even outsell them, she would have to work another 25 years to reach their level of record sales (which is like a billion), which at this point is unobtainable, since they're still selling a shitload of records 40 years after their breakup, and will continue to do so with the upcoming releases of their remastered albums this September. I'm glad you like Madonna, but I know you're not that insane to compare her to the Beatles.

      There wasn't too many competition during the Beatles time? Dude, have you ever heard of the British Invasion? Motown? Atlantic Records? Rockabilly? Judging by your music taste, I doubt it. There was plenty of competition at that time, The music was much more diverse and ripe, and by the end of the 60s, it had gotten more diverse and political due to what was going on at that time (racism, war, etc). There were also a lot of independent and mom and pop labels long before record companies became stifling corporations. The Beatles weren't imposed on the public. At the beginning, they were a little boy bandish, but they took a big risk during the middle of their career, stopped touring, changed their image drastically and started making experimental music that changed and influenced recorded music from years to come. If anyone was imposed on the public it was Madonna. If it weren't for MTV in the 80s, she wouldn't have had a career. The only thing I'm thinking, "honey", was how weak and lame your argument was.

      When the Beatles released their " Beatles 1s" album back in 2000, it sold 31 million worldwide and even outsold Madonna's MUSIC album released at the same time.
