    2. 2

      Stupid as hell.
Skateboarding is no more a sport than hulla hooping.
Give money to united way or war child instead…

Or get free health care in the states to support even those nutsacks who can't even flip a burger at McDs and skateboard

Collecting $$ for people who choose to engage in extreme sports is silly. It's a recreational choice and the danger is well known. Give to United Way or Wounded Warriors or something.

    4. 4

This is the stupidest charity on earth! Extreme sport injuries is something like the leading cause of young men in the US under 34. Doing something stupid without a helmet is usually the cause. I don't feel sorry for the stupid idiots who constantly risk their lives to look cool (hello Youtube) and then get seriously injured or even die or become vegetables in wheelchairs, but their families who are stuck with caring for these kids because of their sheer selfishness and stupidity (and refusals to wear helmets). This charity REWARDS this stupidity. Don't contribute!!!!

    5. 5

this is ridiculous. there are a million other charities more worthy of your support! why not help people who aren't purposely putting themselves in harms way and still get hurt?

      Re: The Wise One

      Didn't even know those facts
      well said, well said…

    7. 7

As if they are have created a charity just for people who have chosen to play some stupid extreme sport at their own risk. They should know that they are going to get injured at some point. Personally, I will never give my money to a charity as worthless as this.
People should be giving their money to help people who really need our help and to help create a better world for them or for medical research so we can protect ourselves from viruses and the like.

    8. 8

BMX, FMX, and skateboarding is the lamest most injury prone group of sports ever. JUST STOP SKATING PEOPLE!

    9. 9

Perez I hope you are not seriously calling this a worthwhile cause. Because it makes the other legitimate worthwhile causes you support look just as dumb. Did you research this one before you threw it onto your website? How about supporting a charity that lends financial support to police officers or firefighters injured in the line of duty?

    10. 10

at your OWN risk…this is bullshit

    11. 11

In medical terms, ARF refers to Acute Renal Failure. So it's perfect for this "charity."

    12. 12

THIS IS COMPLETE BULLSHIT!!!!!!! i think this may be the most worthless "charity" post you have ever made. who in their right mind would give to these dumbshits over poverty stricken children or helping our wounded troops coming home?! WHAT A LOAD OF SHIT!!!!!!!

    13. 13

SERIOUSLY? You want me to give over my hard earned cash to a bunch of idiots who MADE A CHOICE to do something extremely dangerous because the odds weren't in their favor?!?!?!

      This is a joke!

    14. 14

Gee. Grown men falling off of their bikes and skateboards need a special foundation?? HE GETS PAID TO POST THESE!!!!! They are "paid" by the hit, DO NOT OPEN THESE PAGES!!!!! Each time you open a linc on his site, he makes money.

    15. 15

So how much have you given to this stupid pointless cause perez? another thing these people make good money if they win a competition so why on earth do they need a fund

    16. 16

this is a fucking dumb charity,
usually you put some good ones up like helping children or animals or whatever
but honestly, donating your money so people who put themselves in harms way for no gratitude other than POPULARITY can have their bills paid? fuck that.

    17. 17

Every single one of you are FUCKING idiots and is whats wrong with America today… Retards like you. It is a sport and unfourt. accidents DO happen. just like the football players in High school who CHOOSE to play but get hit and are now paralized. Should we not help them out either?? Do you have a passion about something?!!! A real passion?! Something that you would give anything to do?? Thats what riding (skateboards, dirtbikes, bmx, ANYTHING, or any X-treme sport) is for many people. Its a passion. Its a way of LIFE. Maybe they got into these sports b/c they came from broke homes and riding was an out? Because you never know where and what stories these people have. What about a these athletes who make it big and in turn change many peoples lives by giving back. You have no right to judge and say those redick comments. Yeah you can feel good about yourself and send to what you deem as "worth-while" but dont feel bad about yourself when karma comes back to bite you in the ass. Everyone In life needs help sometime and how dare you judge what you deem important!!! Close minded IDIOTSSSSS!!!!!!! ROCK ON PEREZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!! LUV

If you're considered a "professional athlete" don't you usually make a shitload of money? I think they can pay for their own injuries.
It would be different if it was "normal" people who don't make any money from doing these kind of sports, they should raise money for those people instead.

    19. 19

      hmmm, never heard off…

    20. 20

Why don't these guys just buy insurance? Seems to be that if you're willing to risk your ass in these sports, you shouldn't be hoping that other people will foot the bill for your crashes. ESPECIALLY once you've turned pro and are getting paid to do it.
      BUY INSURANCE, ASSHOLES!!!!!!!!

    21. Gio24 says – reply to this

      21

they should do this for field hockey players who tear there ACL, i could use some money for college

    22. 22

You're not serious??? This is 'sport'?? Somehow I can't see the donations rolling in Perez… We've all seen these brainless fools on YouTube and various cable programs seemingly try to destroy themselves.. They're little boys who need to grow up, put away the toys and get a real job.

    23. 23

Wow - before you guys judge, why don't you check the site out or watch this video on what they do - www.supportARF.com. You might actually find that what they're doing is a worthwhile cause…Perez you rock!

And for anyone who said, why don't they buy insurance, that's the whole point of the charity…because of the risk these athletes face on a daily basis, most of them are deemed uninsurable…One of the missions of this fund is to get insurance agencies to give these athletes insurance…And BTW, these athletes aren't making any where near as much money as pro football, baseball or basketball players…so when they're injured, they need your support…not your stupid comments…

    24. 24

Re: mdouglas – Sorry skippy, but if they choose to engage in risky sports without health insurance, that's their tough luck. And yes I feel the same way about any other sport. It's just like states requiring motorcycle riders who choose not to wear helmets to be covered by health insurance so they don't become a burden to the state when they crash and bust up their stupid heads.

    25. 25

This is such a worth while cause…………..what were thinking giving $$$$ to Veterans and 9/11 victims and people who work hard and can't afford it.
      Who thinks of this BS

    26. 26

DUMBEST Fucking 'charity' ever! Let me get this straight-idiots hurl themselves in the air doing assinine stunts and they want help paying their medical bills when things don't work out? To all the idiots who do this sport let me off these words of support…FUCK YOU! As somene very close to somenone with a permanent disablility(spinal cord), it makes me furious these morons take their ability to walk and piss normally for granted in such a disgustingly ignorant and careless way.

    27. 27

This is an amazing charity! Since I work with this charity let me clarify what it does. We help injured athletes who have a passion for what they do. We work with the athetes on their individual health insurance and we are currently working with their sponsors on getting more involved in the athletes safety. It really shocks me sice im sure that most of you watch the xgames or dew tour and follow these athletes lives on perez hilton. such as corey bohan audrinas boyfriend and carey hart pinks husband. you guys dont have the right to say that these athletes dont deserve help because there passionate about a sport. these athletes donate a percentage of their own winnings back to this charity. It is more then worthwhile. this is a charity where you see results. visit www.supportARF.com or google stepehn murray to see why this is so important.

    28. 28

      Re: asavage
Then let Audrina and Pink support the cause. The bottom line is this: If you are injured while participating in a dangerous sport that you are so passionate about and making money from, why should the general public give you thier hard earned money? And I don't believe that insurance is not available to them. Insurance is available to anyone if you are willing to pay the price. And if you can't afford the price, why not get a real job instead of playing on your skateboard all day. There are plenty of worthy charities out there that are much more important than this load of crap. Starving children, soldiers fighting for our freedom, terminally ill children, cancer research…all worthy charities. Paying bills for a bunch of overgrown men playing in the park…I think not.

    29. 29

If you actually took the time to go to the website you would see that nobody is asking you to donate your own money. All you have to do is watch a video about the athletes for 2 minutes and ballpark donates one dollar. I understand that there are other great charities out there and thats the beautiful thing about charities and having so many of them. You can pick and choose which one you would like to support.
