Time To Relocate Latifah: Shooting Near Queen's Film Set !!!
Time to start filming in a better neighborhood!
This weekend, some of the crew setting up for Queen Latifah's new movie, Just Wright, became witness to a whole different kind of shooting at a housing complex in the outer Chelsea district of Manhattan.
Several crew members heard gun shots go off from a nearby housing project. Apparently, an unidentified man parked his car in front of the building and became involved in a heated argument with two men on the street, who proceeded to shoot guy in the torso and leg!
No arrests have been made and the victim was last said to be in stable condition.
Did no one take the time to check the area out before selecting it as a possible backdrop for a major motion picture?
They could have hurt the Queen Lezbot!

Perez, you sound ridiculous Chelsea is an upscale area and every film that's made in NYC shoots there including Sex and the City and a slew of others. There are housing projects everywhere in NYC includig on 5th Ave. For someone who calls themself the "Queen of all Media" you are very misinformed.
I love Latifah!! She's great!! Stop defining her by her orientation. Gay or straight, she's Latifiah. And from my understanding, she doesn't live a closeted life. She simply chooses to live without having her private life in the public eye. Who would have thought? Yes, I understand how her being outspoken could possibly help the gay plight, but people have a right to choose their own battles and not have them chosen for them.
When people see me I want them to see an AFRICAN AMERICAN/ BLACK female, it's part of who I am. It's important that I'm acknowledged and respected as such. However, I don't want them to only see my cultural/ethnic background, after awhile, I should simply be MarleyRai. Same with you Perez. We know you're gay, but after awhile, you're just Perez… Well can Latifah, just be Latifah without you and/or your writers having to remind us of her orientation every Queen Latifah post?! … My golly!!

Outer Chelsea? What the fuck? Because there was shooting it's considered outer Chelsea now? Get real. People shoot in Chelsea just like they shoot on the upper eastside and Park Avenue. Might not happen as often but don't believe that Chelsea's cache is all that. I recall Chelsea when she wasn't such a pretty gayborhood.
