In an interview with OK!, Tori Spelling opened up about the very delicate situation with her estranged mother, Rotten Candy:
Here are some HIGHlights:
On making amends:
“I definitely want to reconcile with my mother, but that’s the wrong word. There’s nothing that really happened that made us fight. It’s just time, distance and media that have come between my mom and me.”On making changes:
“I just think that as long as we both keep it private from here on out, reconciliation is imminent. It will totally happen and I hope that she wants that.”On Candy being a grandmother:
“I am proud of my kids, but I also want to make my mom proud of me. I’m still a momma’s girl at the heart of the situation. I look forward to the relationship that Liam and Stella will have with their grandmother one day and I’m confident that it will happen.”Tori's husband, Dean, on family:
“I know the hurt because I have gone through it. I know what it’s like to hold out hope and for it to not pan out and to get your feelings hurt again and again. After a while, at the end of the day, you really have to protect yourself and see that it’s not healthy for us… Your family can cause you a lot of pain and heartache.”

So Tori wants to keep it private from here on out? Meaning AFTER this most recent public interview? So she can then get mad when her mom responds publicly. These two bitches need to get a clue.
And Perez, why are you so quick to defend Tori? Inviting your mother to her grandchild's birthday party and then asking her to sign a release because it will be filmed for your reality show is despicable. I wouldn't have gone either.

Oh yes, Dean. You've gone through plenty of hardship with family - only YOU'RE the one who caused the hardship, not the one who had to live through it. Let's see… being happy enough with your wife of nearly 15 years and your son to start adoption proceedings for a beautiful baby girl… and then less than a month later, after knowing Tori for a couple of weeks, decide to leave your family for her horse-faced, fake hair, fake boobs, fake fake fake self. Yeah. Your heart's been broken by that, alright.

Tori has always taken the high road and has not had a single nasty word to say publicly about her mother, even though her mother has said such awful things about her (think "she killed her father"). The only time Tori comments on Candy is to rebut what Candy has said about her. Tori is not the one who starts things; that would be Candy. Kudos to Tori for not calling her mother what everyone else does: a media whore bitch. Candy needs to shut her mouth in public, write an apology letter to Tori, and wait to see if Tori really can forgive her. Candy will go to any lengths to stay in the public eye no matter who she has to throw under the bus. No one is safe from her viciousness, including her own daughter.

Um. Is it just me or doesn't Candy Spelling, like, uh, own a T.V.? Hasn't she been able to watch every moment of Tori's "life" even if just from her arm chair?
I basically like Tori (from what one sees of her). But I don't understand why, for instance, on her show that no one ever "comforts" her by saying, "Well, your mom does see Stella, mama…if she tunes in every week…7 central."
I know that saying such a thing on camera might break that 4th wall. But shouldn't that happen every so often on a REALITY show?
Or why not just STOP while making peanut butter sandwiches and WAVE at the camera? Tori and kids could just WAVE and say, "Hi gran'maw. You don't want to meet us but we know you're out there!"

Sounds like Tori isn't ready to cut the cord or be free of this sick relationship. This back and forth is so typical of the dance one does with a mother with Borderline Personality Disorder. Tori's walking on eggshells again … trying to be perfect, trying to get approval, being selfless so that her mom will "love" her, when her mother is incapable of having a healthy relationship - she'll always lash out, she'll pull her in and push her away over and over and over.
Candy reminds me of Leona Helmsley (aka Queen of Mean). I assume that she got security with her like some royalty and that is why she can’t show up in some unsecured party. If Tori determines to make-up with her mother, how about, Tori gets the kids in the car to meet grandma at her place, huh! (it's only 20 minutes drive away) then see what happens.

Seems dumb to me that a Grandmother can't know her grandchildren for no good reason. I'm sick of all them and wish they would stop making headlines.
