Katherine Jackson Wants To Run Things Her Way
The struggle to take control of Michael Jackson's estate isn't going to end any time soon!
Reports are now surafcing that Michael's mom, Katherine Jackson, will be fighting to become an executor of his estate, though MJ did not appoint her to such a role.
Katherine's lawyers have confirmed her attempt to be named executor.
Momma Jackson's attorney said yesterday, "We think it's important for the family to have a seat at the table."
If it were that important, wouldn't Michael have left her in charge? He obviously didn't for a reason.
But the judge ruled that Katherine should have the right to challenge attorney John Branca and family friend John McClain, who are currently running things.
And it doesn't end there. Turns out Katherine is also thinking about suing Michael's shady doctor, Conrad Murray, who's being investigated over the suspected overdose.
Katherine's attorney didn't deny the suit, but did add that "certainly Dr. Murray's name has been floated."
Hey, it can't be easy raising three young kids on your own after retirement.

Great, so she and Joe can steal all the money and mismange it the exact same way they missmanaged all the money from the Jackson 5. Michael's mother is not some money hungry fame whore. Anyone who knows anything about the Jackson family can tell you that (though there certainly are a few in the family). Michael's mother loved her son massively and she isn't trying to control everything, she simply wants to be involved in the process and know what is going on with her sons estate and has asked to be included in those discussions with the people Michael appointed to run the will. She has every right to know what's going on with his estate as it directly affects her and the family. Katherine has always acted in MJ's best interests and continues to do so. I applaud her for being so brave and handling all of this the way she has. I can't imagine outliving a child. RIP.

It is a conflict of interest for her to be beneficiary and an executor of the will.

didn't the will have a clause that if contested, that person would

You're a fool, she inherited 40% of the estate, she is guardian to the kids who control another 40% of the estate, she is just trying to get her greedy twisted hands on the last 20%. If Michael wanted her to be in control of the estate he would have put her in control of the estate.

I don’ think it has anything to do with money. Katherine Jackson and Michael Jackson’s children will be well taken care of as designated by the will. I think she just wants to be notified of the major decisions that are being made in regards to her son’s money and image and I would have to agree.

If I were part of the Jackson family, I sure wouldn't want two lawyers in control of my brother's legacy. I'd want either control or some say over the use of my brother's name and image. But maybe MJ felt that his estate needed to be handled by businessmen and not emotional family members. BTW, what do MJ's lawyers get in the way of money from MJ's estate?
i thought there was a no challenge clause on the will. tihs is so dumb. if he wanted her in charge, not only would she have been on there in 2002, but he wouldve changed it even more recently as well. she got 40%, what the hell else more does she want?
40 percent is a lot. i mean, i could understand why she would want to take it over, but i think she should keep it the way it is. if he wanted her in control he would have done so. leave it to the people who know what they are doing.

No one knew better than Michael how terrible his parents are with money.
If he had wanted his Mom to be Executor of his estate, he would have appointed her in his will.

Re: Spindoc – No your the fool b/c you don't understand the relationship that Michael shared with his loving mother. John Branca was one of the people who had been fired, and recently re-hired before Michael's passing. The will in question was drafted in 2002 while John Branca was still employed by Michael and though John Branca had been fired after that, way before that he and Michael had worked together for years. So him entrusting a person who had delt with his money for years is not inconceivable. I love my mother dearly, but if I ever come into the amount of money that is in Michael's estate, my will would most definitely have a professional taking care of that aspect if I passed as well. And what Michael cared about the most is what he left with his mother; his children. His children was alot more important to him than money. Katherine is not trying to take advantage of Michael, she is trying to protect what he has. Michael always took care of his mother, so even with his passing I'm sure that she is still very much taken care of.
