24 Takes Cancellation Precautions!

Jack Bauer wouldn't stand for this!
In its 8th season, 24 producers have taken every step necessary to ensure that audiences will be delighted in the event that the show is suddenly canceled.
WTF?!
Several alternative endings have been written in case the show should come to an early end!
"We're flexible. We have a scenario that would work well if the show ends. But we also have scenarios where it could go on," said executive producer Evan Katz.
We thought the show was HUGE!
Fox does have a rep for "arresting development" of shows too early!

i get that they would take precautions, but if u seen this show you would not think it would cancel anytime. this show is amazing and i'm budget is a big factor, but who knows.. Amazing ,heart pounding show

I'm a huge 24 fan. Never missed an episode. That being said, I think this should be the last season. They have taken it just about as far as it could go. As it is last season ended with Jack in a coma on the brink of death. Keifer Sutherland has said himself, "How many bad days can one man have?". I agree.
Definitely should stay on the air. Jack is awesome!

Please! Jack Bauer would kick the ass of anyone who even thought of cancelling the show!! This is an awesome show and has a HUGE fan base. I doubt it will get cancelled any time soon.
To those that think it is boring????? Are you serious? Have you even watched the show? Maybe you just couldn't figure out what was going on because you didn't start at episode #1.
24 should have ended a while ago. last season kinda blew.
They should have Kiefer in a reality show!!!
There only so many ways the guy can save the world, and I think they outran those somewhere near season 3 so..

never watched 1 episode. just don't care. there are just too many shows for a person to have! lol. but for the people who do like it, i understand not wanting it to be canceled. we all like different things.. has the show run its course? could there be more storyline? fans you know this answer…???

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS SHOW!!!! I've watched it from day 1 and I love the energy, the characters, the storyline…everything. I will watch it until it's over. It's 1 full hour of extreme action and it makes me sit on the edge of my seat and I get mad when a commercial comes on or it's over…mad mad mad. LOL Don't take Jack away!!!

arrested development had HORRIBLE ratings. people didnt even really syart watching ti until AFTER it was already cancelled.

Some of you people are crazy. Why comment on something you obviously dont know anything about. This show is STILL EXCELLENT. The writing is SUPERB, and should be on for atleast a couple of more years. One of THE BEST shows on tv right now. Thats a fact bitches.
Kiefer Sutherland has been saying all along in his interviews that this is the last year of 24 so I don't know why this has come up like this.
Good riddance! Sutherland's performance has created a slew of copycats who think if they talk in a growling voice, that just because of that - it's great dramatic acting (ie Horatio Cane, 1/2 the cast of The Shield (which I liked), Jack from Lost, etc.). Their lives are SO intense, they can never smile, even around friends or family. Bleah. Give me Bruce Willis in Die Hard, or even William Peterson from the original CSI any day.
IF FOX CANCELS 24, NOT ALLOWING THEM TO END WHEN THEY WANT TO, I AM FINALLY DONE WITH THAT CRAP-FILLED NETWORK.

FOX is much more forgiving when it comes to show cancellations than NBC though so I am not worried. At least FOX doesn't cancel shows after only 6 episodes.
