As Chaz Bono undergoes a sex change operation from female to male, he hopes to marry his partner, Jennifer Elia, within the year and start a family.
The couple are shopping for a sperm donor and Chaz's mother, Cher, is there to lend her support.
"After Chaz told his mother about getting married and planning for a baby, Cher offered to help," divulged a family friend. "Cher doesn't care if the baby is a boy or girl. But she's insisting on a donor with intelligence, creativity and good looks.
Although the pair first decided on an anonymous donor, they are now open to someone they know.
"So Cher is putting together a file of prospects, and as you can imagine, they're all handsome and brilliant. Chaz and Jen are sticking to strict criteria, but ultimately, all three of them want a healthy baby," continued the source.
Just the fact that this kid will have Cher as a grandma is enough to make anyone jealous!
Update: Unfortunately we've just heard from Chaz's rep and have been informed that the baby news is not true! Sad.

Homosexuals and transgendered are two totally different things. I, too, am not looking to argue. Just trying to stick to the objective facts here. A homosexual is someone who prefers to be with the same gender… in love and in sex. A transgender is someone who actually feels as if they were born into the WRONG sex. Like if you just all your life wanted to be a boy if you're a girl… and vice versa. On the otherhand, homosexuals are very fine with the sex they were born into… they are just attracted to the like sex. To that end, I'm 100% sure many transgenders (or those who wish to make the change) were very confused growing up and not sure if they were actually homosexual instead. Think about it… you're born a girl and 1) you find yourself attracted to other girls and 2) you wish you yourself were actually a boy… I would think a young person would feel very uncomfortable with all of that and initially think that she were gay. Ya know? It's a tough tough situation.

Sorry, I would like to continue a bit. So in the end, this does not dispell that homosexuals are born "that way" at all. I'm a firm believer that homosexuals are indeed born homosexuals. Were you born heterosexual? Or did you CHOOSE your heterosexuality at a particular age? Did you wake up one morning and ask yourself "should I like boys or girls or both" or were attracted to whom you were attracted to. Just like a person can't help being attracted to certain looks… blonds, blue, tall, chubby, thin, sassy, intelligent, comical, etc., one can not help but be attracted to a certain sex. End of story. That's not to say engaging in sex itself is not a choice… I'm hetero and I chose to engage in sex with certain guys. However, I did not CHOOSE who I found attractive. Know what I mean?
