Kourtney Kardashian Almost Had An Abortion?!?
With the news of a very unplanned pregnancy for Kourtney Kardashian, came the discussion on how to handle the situation.
Obviously, in this day and age, Kourtney could have chosen several avenues to deal with her pregnancy and she considered all of them - including abortion!
Kourtney explains:
"I definitely thought about it long and hard, about if I wanted to keep the baby or not, and I wasn't thinking about adoption. I do think every woman should have the right to do what they want, but I don't think it's talked through enough. I can't even tell you how many people just say, 'Oh, get an abortion.' Like it's not a big deal."
The decision making process left Kourt confused and concerned, looking for guidance from family, friends, doctors, and even on again, off again, boyfriend and baby daddy Scott Disick, who she says promised to "support" her no matter what she decided.
Ultimately, as we all know, she decided to keep the baby, but it was a decision not taken lightly. And thankfully Kourtney feels that she made the right choice adding:
"My doctor told me there is nothing you will ever regret about having the baby, but he was like, 'You may regret not having the baby.' And I was like: That is so true. And it just hit me. I got so excited"
We think you made the right choice too, Kourtney. Certainly, that little tyke will be the favorite Kardashian in the house in no time!

Haha there's nothing you will ever regret about having the baby? I know a lot of girls who are wishing they could enjoy their youth and do a lot of things, but they're stuck home with their kid and their financial burdens. What an irresponsible thing for the doctor to say. Though I'm sure someone as rich as her can toss the kid over to a sitter any time she wants.

i'm glad she thought things through. having a baby is scary for anyone, especially when you're single, but i still can't view abortion as a serious option. it is a sensitive topic, though, and i do wish is was more widely talked about. i hate knowing that some people look at abortion as a form of birth control. i think the only times i could stand behind the decision for abortion, really, is if keeping the baby would endanger the mother's life, or if it's a rape baby…

And what the doc told her is complete bullshit and must be a pro-lifer, because I have had an abortion and not once have I regretted it. I was able to stay in college, stay focused and get good grades. Now I have my degree and a beautiful 2 year old who I can support.

I believe 100% that it's the women's decision. BUT isn't it kind of selfish for a woman in her position NOT to have a baby. Unlike a lot of people who consider abortions, Kourtney is financially secure. Plus she's 30, it's not like she's at the tender age of 16 or anything.

I say kodos to her for actually considering all her options!! But I want to speak on what the doctor said, "There is nothing you will ever regret about having the baby." Now I have 2 children and I love them dearly. BUT with that said, I grew up in a home where my mom told ALL 3 OF HER KIDS that she hated us and wished she had never had us!! Not just in anger either. She blamed every wrong decision she made in her life on us. What she did was wrong but I know for a FACT she is not the only person to ever feel that way. It's unfair for ANYONE to say that a parent can't regret having thier children. It can and DOES happen! How very irresponsible of her doctor to say that!! He can't comment on how she/or anyone feels because he is not them!
