Lionsgate has announced they intend to remake of the 1987 classic Dirty Dancing, even though there is no earthly reason to.
The company was the mastermind behind the pathetic sequel, Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights, whose only salvation was the 15 minutes Patrick made an appearance!
Terrible idea! Just another Hollywood ploy to make some quick money it seems.

They will just rewrite history. Hollywood routinely takes too many liberties with historical accuracy.
There was a sequel? That's news to me. At any rate, re-making this classic is just cinematic blasphemy. I loved the original so I'm not likely to embrace any else playing those parts

Well let's see here… Dirty Dancing, Footloose, Fame…etc. Hollywood must really be fresh outta ideas. Is it really so hard to come up w/ something new? So tired of the remakes and the the lack of imagination.

Nope, won't be going to see it. They need to leave this one alone and Footloose in my opinion. I love this movie just as it is even been to where some of it was filmed…LEAVE IT ALONE HOLLYWOOD!!!
