Oprah & Dr. Oz Suing Açaí Berries!!!

Who has the audacity and balls to screw with Oprah Winfrey?
Açaí Berries, that's who!
Several endorsements for the super berry that supposedly functions as dietary supplement, energy booster, and sexual performance enhancer, have used Oprah's likeness and fabricated quotes from her favorite physician, Dr. Memhet Oz to peddle their products.
Well, it's all a sham and O has had enough!
She and Dr. Oz are suing 40 companies either selling açaí or related products with their name endorsements on them.
In an interview, Dr. Oz explains:
"Many Americans have seen images of me, and Oprah and others supporting, it would appear, products that actually don't work in the ways that are described. And more importantly, when consumers trusting us try to buy these products over the Web, what they end up getting are fake products, pills that don't really have what's promised in them. They're often duped into paying more than they should. If my picture is next to a product, endorsing it and supporting your purchase of it, I did not give them permission."
They're all about protecting the people and their money-making names!
We'd love to see what these companies come up with to try and wiggle out of this lawsuit. Won't matter, because no matter how good their lawyer might be, Oprah's will be 10 times more expensive knowledgeable.
Sucks to be them.

…the issue isn't how much money Oprah has; she has worked hard to brand herself. No one should ride freely on her coattails.
lol
The colon cleanse is in conjunction with acai too! Both are completely fake! Everyone stop buying that shit!
Re: karencarpenter – just say no to weight loss
I think that the beat your ass thing is like thearting
Re: JigSaw – …tried…and failed miserably!
I could be wrong, but I think they also use Rachel Ray to advertise their product as well.
Next doughboy!!!!!!!!
More to love, is casting!!!!!!!!
Does this mean that I will stop getting all those junk emails for Acai Berries endorsed by Oprah?
FINALLY!!! Those companies are criminal. I thought I'd try it to help me drop 10 pounds and they sign you up for auto-refill. They keep sending you the ish & debit your account. I had to get a new debit card and I filed a complaint with the better business bureau. Filthy crooks!!!
Mona Vie is a joke. So many suckers out there deserve to get ripped off.
Açaí is kinda disgusting! That crap get's stuck to your teeth and it doesn't taste good at all. Try " cupuaçú" smoothie, it's freaking delicious and it came from the same place açaí came from. But, detail: it's nothing besides delicious… it doesn't help lazy people to improve their lives a bit.
Go after the companies …
Açaí : Eat them fresh ! Not in pills or powder .
Re: JigSaw – Jiggybaby, thanks for TOSSING MY SALAD last night!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh Perez, you had an ad for the acai!!!!And when you clicked on it: there it was, claiming Dr.Oz's name. So righteous all of a sudden….
she needs to just go away the talentless fame whore who steals other peoples work and gets away with because she's fatso I mean Oprah ! so over her!
Stick it to them O.
its about damn time
i see those ads shoved in my face all the time when ever i go on myspace or facebook and this shit is getting old
doesnt help that for one of those ads they showed a what seemed to be a pregnant woman's stomach as fat next to a skinny stomach, you could obviously tell its not the same person
more power to oz and oprah
i love how instead of ever admitting she's wrong, oprah just sues and/or starts a revolt against her her new enemy.
I know of a desperate delusional person who thinks acai/mona vie will cure her
son of cerebral palsy. THese people should be jailed. If you meet an 'intuitive
healer' you are dealing with a nickname for NO LEGITIMATE credentials, but one hundred percent snake oil scam.
You can't do that.
Ka-thunk.
That's the sound of those chickens coming home to roost again.
Re: mel emo it hurts –
hey I now yo, up in penobscot!
Re: smoke and mirrors –

Re: mel emo it hurts –
ya fir real keepin it straight
THEY NEED TO BE SUED. FALSE ADVERTISEMENT, I WANT MY $$$ BACK GODDAMIT!
i like dr.Oz and his sweet attitude and his speeches about healthy stuff,
its Mehmet Oz by the way, not Memhet…
MonaVie has been a complete scam from the very beginning. Go, Oprah!
oh man….. i was seriously considering trying out those berries… back to exercising i guess
I knew this 3 years ago-they scammed money out of someone I knew & they were using her name back then. What took her so long
the suit is against the "Acai Berrie" affiliate marketers and internet diet lose products out there… seen MonaVie mentioned a few times which is hardly a scam
Acai berries are what you squished up in a glass to make ink with as kids at arts & crafts summer camp.
