It's A Bird! It's A Plane! It's A Woman In A Burka?!
Get ready world, because we are getting our first Muslim superheroes ever!
The Brits airwaves will introduce the heroes who called themselves the 99, after the ninety-nine attributes of Allah, in a new T.V. series. The story about the Muslim vigilantes, who each possess one of Allah's attributes, is already a smash from Morocco to Indonesia and was "recently named as one of the top 20 trends sweeping the world by Forbes magazine."
Some of the characters include a "burka-clad woman named Batina the Hidden and a Saudi Arabian Hulk-type man named Jabbar the Powerful." If your worried there is going to be 99 heroes to go along with the attributes, don't: "there will never be a full cast of 99 superheroes since it is forbidden to depict all Allah's attributes."
Dr. Naif al-Mutawa, creator of these characters, hopes that they will have universal appeal and that it will " instill Islamic values in children across all faiths." But more-so, he hopes that the crime-fighting heroes provide better role models and images of Muslim culture to Muslim children:
“It hit me that the stories I was hearing were from men who grew up believing that their leader, Saddam, was a hero, a role model — only to one day be tortured by him. I decided the Arab world needed better role models.”
We have our doubts that this will ever make it state-side, not with Middle America still being, well, Middle America.

Muslims follow their religion like any other religion wether it be Catholic, Christian , Jewish or Buddhist. Just because they say God as Allah doesn't make them much different. They instill values in their children like many of us do. Muslims are not just extremists or suicide bombers. They are a people dedicated in preserving what their God has set forth as what is right and good. Burqas may seem oppresive to us in this country, but in their country it is away to deter lust from the minds and mouths of men. Single men are not allowed to dine in public places as families, children and women. You don't know how many times I wish I could walk down the street with a burqa so these assholes stop cat calling and commenting on my body. It's sick. This cartoon would help show that despite wearing a burqa- there is a woman underneath with values, morals and beliefs. Stop being so close minded people. Technically Batina the Hidden is not in full burka and if you look up a picture of her I have never seen a burka like that before and she is pretty hot. However I do think burkas are slightly wrong I find them no more offensive than any of the conservative christians that don't let there women wear pants and only let them wear long sleeves and long dresses during the summer months to blister to death.
Also I would much rather have my children watching a smart female than some misproptioned tart with with huge fake tits.

I have met several muslim's and I have traveled around the world more than once. Muslims I met on the Pacific coast of Nicaragua specifically told me they are living there, learning to speak, look and act like Latin americans so that they may cross the Mexico boarder one day blended in with the other illegals who come here every day.
