Twilight Director Heads Into The Woods

She may have been snubbed from directing The Twilight Saga: New Moon, but that won't stop Catherine Hardwicke from making a movie about wolves.
Leonardo DiCaprio's Appian Way production company is producing a "gothic" retelling of the classic fable Little Red Riding Hood called The Girl in the Red Riding Hood and Catherine has just been announced as the movie's director.
She's an excellent choice for the position, as the new retelling is being called a "werewolf movie with a teenage love triangle at its centre". Obviously, Catherine is no stranger to mythical teen romances.
So basically, it's New Moon without vampires, meaning without Robert Pattinson. But who would want to see that?!

lol…. hmmmm i dunno… i would have to see more of the storyline and the casting before i decide..
but i loved how she filmed twilight, its not her fault some actors lacked talent.. she tried to do whatever she could with the resources she was giving… and the small budget didnt help either.. but i loved the feel of the movie and the music and the way it was put together, so i'm curious about this one. hope she has a proper budget this time to afford some good special effects and all. and maybe a Robert Pattinson 2 in the making??

Oh no, she sucks! And you can't blame it on the small budget. They should have gotten Tim Burton to do it! The new Alice in Wonderland movie looks amazing.

uhhh, no. She's a terrible director. I don't know how she keeps getting work. It is inspirational, however, that you can be bad at something and still have a career.
She totally killed Twilight. It sucked compared to the book… I watched it and couldnt figure out the movie, so I read the book and C.H. really sucks as a director.
Yay. Red riding hood is such a classic. We all know it was filled with sexual undertones.
She is going to butcher a red riding hood! What was Leonardo thinking. She is awful, most of the shots in twilight made me dizzy she moved around too much with the camera.

Seriously? That was one of the biggest things I hated about Twilight ! Her filming suited for Lords of Dogtown but her style looked horrible in Twilight. Learn how to keep the camera still !

I loved how she did it and the feel behind it, kinda brooding and dark.. i dunno just the whole feeling of it, i loved it. what i hated were some of the stupid dialogues, the bad acting and some of the dragging scenes.. (oh and that they left out/changed so much

"Gothic" is not her thing. If they want gothic get fucking Tim Burton or some other director like that, but not Hardwicke.
Fu$k yeah i'll go see it! It's hysterical how quickly people write things off. I learned my lesson years ago when i thought making a movie based on a theme park ride was the worst F-ing idea in cinema history. Cut to a trilogy that's earned almost 3 billion dollars, and an Oscar nomination for Johnny Depp. I'm pretty sure the love affair with R-Patt has SOMETHING to do with the movie Hardwicke directed, so apparently she knew what she was doing. Despite all that though, if the story goes back to the original ideas behind Red Riding Hood, this could be a bad-ass movie. That story is waaaay darker than most people realize.

to be perfectly honest…I LOVE TWILIGHT!!!!…saw it twice in theatres and bought it on DVD the 1st day it came out
but if this movie wasnt popular because of the books…it would of flopped in the box office!!!!it was not good…gave it a 6/10
