Congratulations are in order for Miss Venezuela!
At just 18-years-old, Stefania Fernandez has won the 2009 Miss Universe title.
The win marks the second time Venezuela has won the title in a row and just the sixth time overall. Last year, Miss Venezuela Dayana Mendoza won the crown.
And just what does the new Miss Universe have to say?
She told reporters after the pageant, "What do we Venezuelans have? That we are ourselves."

The other top-five finalists included runner-up Miss Dominican Republic Ada Aimee de la Cruz; followed by Miss Kosovo, Droga Ganusha; Miss Australia, Rachael Finch; and Miss Puerto Rico, Mayra Matos Perez.
And perhaps the biggest oops moment was when Dayana dropped the crown while placing it on the new Miss Universe!

Venezuala is known to have plastic surgeons on hand for all of their contestants. In fact, that's why many girls enter pagenats - to get free plastic surgery.

You don't know what you're saying. She has worked A LOT to get there. I live in Vzla and TRUST ME: I know what this is all about. Don't know how the girls get prepare in other countries but here they work very hard and intense for months… almost for a year and here the Miss Venezuela or any other beauty contest is more than just a superficial competition. It takes a lot of discipline to win and even to just participate. And we see it like a very good way to start a career in business, media, journalisim,… PLUS: a lot of misses here are one of the most talented and hard worker woman in the country. So this girls deserve respect. And that's why we've won many times, because we do take this very seriously.
