Joan Jett Sues Ex-Runaways Member!
Joan Jett has slapped her former bandmate with a big time lawsuit!
Jett claims Jackie Fox, ex-bassist of the Runaways, has "threatened" Joan's business associates by demanding royalty checks for the use of the Runaways brand!
Probably should have worked out a deal before you quit the band, sweets!
Fox has also reportedly been causing dramz amongst the cast and crew of the upcoming Runaways biopic, starring Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning, saying filming should be put on hiatus until her script approval is granted!
But Jett says there is no character based on Jackie in the biopic.
Oh, we get it now!
No wonder Jackie's losing her shit!
Joan is suing Fox for her interference with the film as well as barring her from ever making $$$$$$ off/ever using the Runaways trademark.

They were ALL in the band; not just Joan. The others all need to be respected for what was, even if in a lesser financial manner, as it's Jett's people making the effort on the new project; but it's not pretty if one band mate covers the ears and goes, "La la la la la la la la…"

Hah, I've never commented here before and I'm not sure why I'm doing it now, but… They appear to have written Jackie Fox out of the movie. The draft of the script I read has Sandy West, Lita Ford, Cherie Currie, Joan Jett and "Robin." There was no "Robin" in The Runaways. Mysteriously, Jackie Fox isn't in the script - just "Robin." And "Robin" (SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!) is alluded to sleeping with Kim Fowley in the movie. I doubt Jackie Fox would sign off on that! I'm really excited for this movie. The photos I've seen of Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning look amazing! It was a good script. The Runaways have an amazing story and I hope this film will bring them some long overdue attention! Thanks, Perez! You're the best.

pffft they should just change it to Micki Steele from the Bangles (was in the band before Fox) and get it over with. The band was formed by Joan and Sandy West (R.I.P.) so Fox really shouldn't have a say in the story. Steele left and Peggy Foster replaced her. Foster left and Fox came in. Either way, Stewart is gonna ruin The Runaways for me.
Jackie can know she was part of that legacy, even if they're choosing to play Hollywood pretend here. I'll be assuming then that most of this movie is fiction, or basically photo shopped history. Meh. I thought it was going to be accurate.
