KISS Are Still Alive!

2009 marks the 35th anniversary of legendary rockers KISS, so the band is hitting the road in celebration!
The more than 40-date KISS Alive 35 tour will kick off in Detroit (of course!) on September 25th, hitting all the major cities leading up to to the band's final date in Dallas, TX, on December 4th, with Buckcherry serving as the opening act.
The Detroit Rock City legends promise a new stage show with all new costumes and EFX that only the "hottest band in the world" could deliver.
Says frontman Gene Simmons: "For 35 years, KISS raised the bar for what a rock concert should really be. This year is no different - all new, all killer… all KISS! The master's class in rock is in session! KISS rules. Oh yeah!"
But you guys better be careful!!
Don't want to end up in a sitch like Steven Tyler did a few weeks ago!

Yikes!
ew
its not very ….. healthy… for their age.. what are they like 60?
Kiss definitely encompassed the visual, but their rock was O.K., if slightly formulaic compared to some others, who paved the way. If you go by sales from bandwagon jumpers, that's one measure, but not of musicality. : )
sweet! buckcherry rocks!
Saw them at Summerfest in June 2009. If you are not a fan of their really, really old stuff, don't waste your money. Wish someone would have told me that they would be "digging" into their archives. Was not the only one who wasn't happy. Worst Kiss concert of my life and I have been seeing them since the early 80s.
AAAAhhh!!! OMG OMG OMG!!!
Sell it, Gene. Master's class? Cream, Sabbath, Zeppelin, Yes, Genesis, Heep, Grand Funk Railroad, Hendrix, Stones, Beatles, Faces, Procol Harum, King Crimson, Iron Butterfly, Chambers Bros., Ten Years After, Kansas, Blue Oyster Cult, Blue Cheer, Who, Guess Who, Steppenwolf, Foghat, Seeger(s), Allman Bros., Raitt, Deep Purple, Emerson Lake and Palmer, King Crimson, Foreigner, Heart, Jethro Tull, Joe Walsh, Journey, Airplane, Grand Funk, Troggs, Pink Floyd, James Gang, Spencer Davis, Ten Years After, Manfred Mann, Country Joe, Beach Boys, Byrds, Kinks, Cream, Animals, Joplin, Ventures, the Band, Creedance, Butterfield Blues band, Canned Heat, Edwin Starr, Grateful Dead, Iggy, E.L.O., War, Tommy James and the Shondells, Donovan, Paul Revere and the Raiders, Orbison, Otis, Jackie Wilson, Wilson Picket, Mommas and Poppas, Sly, Yardbirds, Savoy Brown, Quatro, Sam the Sham, Righteous Bros., Hot Tuna, T Rex, Poco, Little Feat, Three Dog Night, Alan Parson, J. Geils, Climax Blues Band, Boston, Skynard, Zappa, Supertramp, Long John Baldry, Percy Sledge, EVERYONE from Motown, John Mayall, Aerosmith, Cooper, AC/DC, Bad. Co., BTO, Badfinger, Molly Hatchet, Moody Blue, Mountain, Nazareth, C.S.N. & Young, Queen, Rush, StyxApril Wine, Chilliwack, Z.Z. Top; and my humblest apologies to any other MASTERS I've missed, and there probably are a few. Most came before KISS, and everyone above were/are true songwriting wizards.
That list was written with due respect, to Kiss and their new album, of course.
They will look as stupid and pathetic as Madonna.
they suck!!!
They aren't hitting all the major cities. Not even coming anywhere close to Utah and I LOVE Buckcherry.
Kiss is a band you either love or hate. I have been a huge fan since the mid 70's. Have seen them 4 times, the latest being last month when they played the bluesfest here in Ottawa. They have been on the kiss alive 35 tour for abos now, so Perez, you aren't reporting anything new.
And for all those naysayers, the show they did here in Ottawa was the best KISS show I have seen in my life. 40,000 fans that were there agree, not to mention the 50,000 in Halifax, and 90,000 in Quebec City…yes, they still draw HUGE crowds! Selling out their concerts everywhere they go on this tour!
No thanks.
I'd rather see Slime-e in concert than anything Gene Simmons does.
WOO HOO!!!! ROCK ON. I LOVE KISS!!!!!
Bleh; it's not really KISS w/o Ace and Peter Criss
They did turn a stage show into a visual Vegas extravaganza. Alice did it first. I like bands who incorporate the rest of the senses, but its the tunes that rule.
CANT WAIT FOR THE SHOW!!! BEST LIVE BAND EVER
If you want to see what a ROCK CONCERT is SUPPOSED to be… Definitely get tickets… So few bands exist now that can put on a pyrotechnic arena rock event like these guys
ROCK N ROLL!!!
Where is Ace Frehley?
And Peter Criss?
That band is not Kiss without the greatest guitarist ever:Ace.
That band is just 2 old CAPITALISTS MONEY GRABBIN SELFISH CLOWNS
THAT PAY THE '2 NEW KISS CLOWNS $200' A SHOW.
NO ACE NO KISS NO WAY YOU SHOULD SEE THE 2 OLD GUYS IN CLOWN MAKEUP.
NO ACE? NO PETER?
NOT KISS
WHERE IS ACE?
ACE IS THE ONLY REASON TO SEE KISS.
DON'T GO SEE 2 OLD HAS BEEN CAPITISTS, GENE AND PAUL
The most overated "rock" band in all of music history. No talent, kitchy, all flash and no substance, ever wonder why they never play their songs on classic rock stations, because it doesn't hold up it is infantile crap, and gene simmons is a blowhard carnival barker whose only talent is self promotion.
simmons is obnoxious. go lay down old man.
it´s great that good bands are still rocking out !!! i rather listen to any good band from the 70´s, 80´s & 90´s than all the crap that´s on the radio now a days ! (crap like… miley, gaga, jonas, heidi pratt, sliimy, katy p, etc)

Re: paula tallarico – No sh*t. It's been an audio wasteland. All of the really great musicians made big coin and then they went off to further sit on their asses in the English countryside. F*ck. At least Kiss is giving it a go. When Plant decided to follow country singer Alison Strauss around instead of doing a Zeppelin reunion!!!, citing 'art', I rolled my eyes and decided that it's a musak and not a Mozart world. Plant/Krauss album was good. Zeppelin was GREAT.
would be good if they went everywhere. there are KISS fans in Australia u kno?!
I have been waiting to take my boyfriend to a KISS concert!!! Thanks Perez!! I love you for putting this on here and giving me a heads up.
From your post, it seem you think they are from Detroit. Get a fucking clue you lowlife. They are from New York originally.
