      seriously this is getting super annoying, as an ex smoker myself i would say 15-21 is the age range when people are most likely to smoke. some, like me, quit when they get a bit older, and others with more addictive personality types carry on with it. you can bitch about how yucky you think it is all you want, it won't stop young people who want to smoke from smoking. if anything, i have found that the more you hector smokers the more they want to smoke, and preferably near you so they can blow it in your face. so shut up about it already, please.

      I hate when I see young kids smoking. It just makes me sad. :( I never did smoke myself, and am so glad I never picked up the habit. Hopefully that's the worst of it for her…she has probably had more than a normal amount of stress already in life!

      Uh, I don't know what you're talking about, smoking rates have dramatically decreased so it's actually becoming uncommon. That said, I lost my dad and both of my grandparents to smoking and I have a young uncle who is dying, all because of cigarettes. So forgive me if I don't think it's a laughing matter. To see your loved ones wither away and have to live with oxygen tanks and collapsed lungs really changes you. Have fun 17 year olds, that's what you have to look forward to.

      Just wanted to add that smoking used to be MUCH more common. In my parents' generation (baby boomers) nearly everyone smoked. In college I did not have one friend that smoked. My friends partied, but did not smoke, so it really is much less common than it used to be.
