Check out Nick Jonas today as he appears on The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer. Nick will be interviewed in Washington D.C., where just this morning, he gave a speech at the National Press Club Luncheon about raising awareness of juvenile diabetes.
At least he doesn't have to worry about answering questions about Miley Cyrus!

Re: Queen of the Highway to Hell – Unlike most famous people he is using his celebrity status to RAISE AWARENESS & MONEY for those who cannot afford to manage the disease properly.No one is giving him sympathy just praise for inspiring & raising money.
What a wonderful role model for young children with type one diabetes. He truely cares about getting the message out to people that they can accomplish anything, even if they do have a disease that makes life difficult at times. As a Dietitian, it is joyful to see people getting involved with raising awareness for juvenile diabetes. Since some children do not have role models at home, celebrities are sometimes the next person they look to. Way to Go Nick!

I like what he's doing for diabetics. As a diabetic myself I know that it's really nice to have someone in the public eye using their platform to help raise money and awareness. I really commend him for his efforts. Especially taking time out of his very busy schedule and using his day off this week to help others. He didn't have to do that. He could have said no and not hopped on a red eye to make it to D.C., but he did anyway and I think that's what's important. He's giving something back and I personally think that more celebs can afford to take a page from the Nick Jonas handbook!

And sticking your fingers with needles 3 times a day is no fun. Kudos for him trying to make a difference.
