The Canucks Are Back: Kids In The Hall Return!

Formerly defunct cross-dressing Canadian comedy troupe The Kids in the Hall are reuniting for a new television series!
Only airing in Canada, unfortch.
The series, titled Death Comes to Town, was created by Bruce McCulloch with the rest of the Kids (Dave Foley, Kevin McDonald, Mark McKinney and Scott Thompson) hopping on board with co-writing duties.
Death Comes to Town will be an 8-part "comic murder-mystery series" which will follow the story of "what happens in a small town when all its most distinguished citizens are murdered."
Says McCulloch, "We have thought about reuniting on television for years but we've all had a lot of personal projects and weren't sure about how we wanted to come back together."
What a perfect way to reunite!
The show is slated to air on Canada's CBC staring in January 2010.

I'll be glad when it's over, they are fliming the movie in my city North Bay, Ontario. They were on the end of my block all last week blocking traffic and had a casting call at the mall on Saturday. It's filming here until mid fall.

My dad is working on the show in North Bay and as of such I have read the script. It is HILLARIOUS some of the characters from Kids in The Hall are returning (like the chicken lady) for small cameos. But it is very kids in the hallish they guys are playing most of the characters including women it's going to be great!!

cool! luv the Kids! I met "the chicken lady" in the subway in NY & started screaming: "Oh my god, you're the Chicken Lady!" The poor dude was really embarrassed (I think it's Mark Mc Kinney) & everybody stared not understanding why I called him "chicken lady" in a crazy hysterical manner!!

Good for them. They are probably frustrated at every American sketch comedy show ripping them off (The State, anyone?? Even the intro was ripped off from the Kids). Then again, Americans haven't had an original idea in years.
