Timeline Of Michael Jackson's Final Hours
It's the question that has been burning in people's brains since the fateful day this past June:
How did Michael Jackson die?
With the release of the autopsy and information coming from investigations of both MJ's personal physician and dermatologist, a timeline of events has been compiled to better understand how and when the world lost the King of Pop. This sequence was outlined in the search warrant affidavit and confirms that Dr. Conrad Murray gave MJ a mixture of various powerful drugs in order to revive the popstar. This cocktail may have ultimately led to his death.
As we understand it, three days before MJ's death, Dr. Murray gave him "25 milligrams of propofol along with the sedatives lorazepam and midazolam". This mixture aided MJ to sleep.
The following day, Murray provided the same drug combo to Michael, but without the propofol, hoping to wean him off it. Again, Michael was able to fall asleep.
Now, here is the sequence of events that followed on June 25th, 2009, the day Michael Jackson died:
June 25: At about 1:30 a.m., Murray again tried to get Jackson to sleep without propofol and gives the singer a 10-milligram tablet of Valium, but Jackson is unable to sleep.
• Around 2 a.m.: Murray injects Jackson with two milligrams of lorazepam, pushed slowly into the singer's IV. But again, Jackson can't sleep.
• Around 3 a.m.: Murray then gives two milligrams of midazolam to Jackson, also pushed slowly into the IV. Jackson remains awake.
• Around 5 a.m.: Murray gives the singer another two milligrams of lorazepam but Jackson still can't sleep.
• Around 7:30 a.m.: Murray administers another two milligrams of midazolam. Murray claims he is continuously at Jackson's bedside, monitoring the singer with a pulse oximeter [connected to Jackson's finger] and measuring his pulse and oxygen statistics. But Jackson remains awake.
• Around 10:40 a.m.: Murray gives Jackson 25 milligrams of propofol diluted with lidocaine to keep Jackson sedated after repeated demands for the drug by the singer. Jackson finally falls asleep, and Murray continues to monitor him.
• After 10 minutes: Murray states he left Jackson's bedside to use the restroom and is gone for no more than two minutes. Upon his return, Murray finds Jackson not breathing. Murray begins CPR, and gives Jackson 0.2 milligrams of flumazenil, an antidote for certain overdoses. Using his cell phone, Murray calls Jackson's personal assistant, Michael Amir Williams, and asks him to send security upstairs for an emergency.
Murray continues CPR – and before security arrives – he leaves Jackson and runs to the hallway and downstairs to the kitchen, where he asks the chef to send up Jackson's 12-year-old son, Prince Michael I. Murray continues CPR. The boy arrives upstairs and summons security.
• At 12:21 p.m.: Jackson staff member Alberto Alvarez dials 911, and the Los Angeles Fire Department responds on the scene shortly thereafter. Murray waits for the ambulance while conducting CPR, and later accompanies Jackson to the hospital.
How very sad.
We can't believe anyone could really withstand having so many different drugs in their system like that! We can't believe a doctor would administer so many drugs like that at one time!
Plus, we're no medical professional, but if he wasn't breathing for over 5 minutes, wouldn't that be the time to call 911?

when anyone stops breathing you call 911, it doesn't matter if you are performing CPR, it was an hour and half before the medics were called, anything beyond 6 minutes usually results in major brain damage
Anyone who could stay awake after all those drugs and PRIOR to the Propofol, probably should have been in a hospital for treatment. The valium alone should have knocked him out. He must have been a very severe drug addict.
Dr. Murray's care of MJ was substandard (failed to promptly summon emergency personnel), negligent (failed to properly monitor a patient effectively under general anesthesia), and incompatible with accepted standards of practice (administration of propofol for "insomnia"). In addition there is a great deal that doesn't fit with his account of events but particularly that more than two hours after administration of 25mg of propofol, MJ still had "lethal" levels of propofol in his bloodstream. Dr. Murray is a trained cardiologist and presumably he knows how to run a proper code… unfortunately he didn't do so in this case because he was likely trying to save his own ass by trying to keep this disaster confined to MJ's house rather than administer appropriate care of his "patient". This is gross medical negligence and will likely result in criminal prosecution for negligent homicide… as it should. He'll likely reach a plea deal with the DA, serve his 5-10 and disappear from view. Sad, tragic and stupid that nobody had the cojones to stand up to MJ's addictions and lay a proper intervention on the King of Pop.

In CPR class, you conduct chest compressions for one minute and if no change, dial 911 and then return to continue with compressions. With over five minutes of no oxygen to the brain, he had little chance of recovery at that point.
As a nurse, I've seen people soak up tons of medications that would put down an elephant and they are feeling fine. Amazing how the human body adjusts.
I met him once. He was so amazing and I can't believe he's dead!

The idiot cut MJ back on Diprivan, and snowed him with all those other drugs, thinking they wouldn't react with the second dose of Diprivan. Wrong, asshole! The only thing he did right is to confess so we know what happenned. MJ was a very sick drug addict, but technically Murray killed him. The Dr. obviously knew this and freaked, making the EMTs transport a dead body and then refusing to sign the death certificate. Sucks for him. Even if help had been there right away, the dr. knew it wouldn't matter. MJ was very dead, and there was no bringing him back. So sad.
Michael Jackson was brought down by his dependancy for prescription drugs and by a doctor who just didn't give a damned. Tragic, yes, predictable…. of course!

MJ was so pitiful by the time he died. He was missing a nose, hair (hence the dime store wigs), black skin pigmentation as well as his fortune and talent. It is only fitting that he die in a way as pathetic as his final 10 years of life.

Re: Kalifornia – When administered through IV form drugs only take around 15minutes to become effective…I work as an RN and I have seen a shit ton more drugs given to a person than this at once…that of course is in a hospital where these patients can be monitored. Just the other day at work I gave probably 10mg of Lorazepam, 5mg of Haldol, 20mg of Oxycodone, and 5mg of Midazolam to one patient in a period of 2 hours. This patient was still going insane, heart rate in the 160s, he was in 4 point restraints, and trying to climb out of bed. Some patients have an extremely high tolerance that just sounds crazy to any regular person. Thats what doing hard drugs (coke, heroine, prescription meds, alcohol) does to someone. Murray is completely in the wrong for all of this happening under his watch outside of a hospital environment.

He should have refused to give MJ any of it and refer him to treatment. Waiting that long to call for help was because he was gone longer than going to the bathroom and knew there was no help for him. No one can give CPR that long! It's hard work!

As cliche as it is to say how sad it is, I can't help it. It should be illegal to keep on giving someone so many doses of medication. Sadly, it technically is not until all the red tape has been cleared. This man killed him and as a doctor, he should have known better. Where were his ethics? Sometimes all a person needs is a dark room, quiet music, and maybe some tea. But his body became dependent on the drugs thanks to his enablers. Had he lived, he could have gone to rehab. Sad!

And BTW, doctor can make mistakes too, but not calling an ambulance immediately was their biggest.
When i was a lifeguard and i had a case of cardiac arrest, the first thing i had to do is call it in so an ambulance could be called right the way, then it was cpr, not the other way around. Doctor need to know a lot of medicin, there are many more lethal combo's that just didn't popup yet, doctors need to take lessons from this sad mistake. I can definitely rule out murder. Death by fault, lets see what an emotion incapable law can make of it.

First of all, my father was killed by an overdose of fentaynl. This was an overdose administered by a nurse in a hospital. We do not know how long he had stopped breathing. However when discovered they thought he had, had a heart attack. Then the fire department discovered the multiple patches on my father. They administered Narcan. My father was 78 at the time and the narcan started his breathing immediately. The hospital ran tests in a matter of MINUTES. YES MINUTES. The tests told us how much was in his bloodstream and that he had been without breathing long enough that he would not recover. Michael Jackson was much younger and used to having drugs in his system. My father was neither of those. My father lingered for 1 week and died because of the lack of oxygen to his vital organs. I say Michael Jackson was left alone longer than 10 minutes. That damn Dr is a liar and felt comfortable enough to leave Michael alone for a long time. I hope the son of a bitch hangs. Michael Jackson is to blame also for his drug problems but a Dr doing this to him is unexcuseable. He is a liar and Michael Jackson was left alone to die.
