It took a couple tries, but HBO finally has another monster hit on their hands!

The premium cable network's Sunday night blood-sucking smash, True Blood, had 5.3 million viewers tuning in to this week's episode!!!!

Massive!

The ratings for the vampy drama were up a full 20% from the week prior, which drew an impressive 4.5 million viewers to the network.

Do U think True Blood's viewership continue to grow as the season goes on???

      YES!!! This show is great. The books are wonderful, but HBO has managed to create their own version of the books that leaves you wanting more every episode. It just keeps getting better and better. Only 2 episodes left this season, I'm so sad! But i can't wait for the Eric /Sookie love story to develope! Witch wars next???!! And bring Hot Shot and the warepanthers….so much fun coming in the next seasons!

      Well, the books are quite entertaining. I've read them all. I'm still in the process of watching the first season. I hope it continues to be as good as the books. There are changes, but they tweak everything that they work into shows or movies.

      it's an amazing show, but there's only 2 more episodes left this season, so i don't think there's time for it to grow THAT much. it's growing bc so many people who watch it are making their friends get into it. it's the best show on tv, and i know my friends and i who watch it have spread the love to at least 10 people lol

      I only started watching the show when a friend of mine (Allan Hyde) were to appear as a vamp.. eventhough its not really my taste, True Blood is kinda cool!! Go Allan Hyde - Du er super sej som Godric :)

      Yes the viewership will grow because if you read the books which of course you don't' Tubby the books get more complex and the plots have more depth and everything unravels slowly . And just so you know Mario Evan Rachel Wood is going to do great as Queen Sophie Ann.

      It's the best damn thing on TV. I think it has the potential to outdraw Sopranos. HBO isn't pushing it like they did Sopranos and it's all word of mouth. True Blood has sex appeal which Sopranos never did.

      Guess why the rating is exploding? CUZ WE WANT ALEXANDER SKARSGARD SO BADLY! Last episode was disappointing, let's hope for the next one - and next season- so the producers get the clue and finally give us our Sookie + Eric hopes come true!

      This show is addictive, all the cliffhangers keep me watching. I hate waiting each week for the next ep.

      I'm in Australia, and I'm sure they don't count us in the count. I'm sure at least another mill could be added!

      I was hesitant about this show at first, being a "twilighter" and all, thinking maybe they were just gonna try to copy Twilight or something. Except for the fact that some vampires are in it, it's totally different than what I thought it was gonna be. But I looooooooove it!!! Trueblood is my favorite TV show thats not a "reality" show. I am officially addicted to Trueblood. I LOVE LAFAYETTE!!!

      "True Blood" is well written, well acted, and has an adult following that are unlikely to mob the leads should they venture out in NY! Someone wrote it is reminiscent of the old "Dark Shadows" TV show from the 1960's and in some respects I agree. Bill Compton is a vampire in the Barnabas Collins mold: he has managed to retain his humanity even though he is no longer human. Come to think of it, EVERY sympathetic vampire needs to bow before Barnabas since he was the first 'heroic' vampire in media!
