Farrah Fawcett's Son Gets TV Deal
If the Jackson brothers can get a reality show, so can Farrah Fawcett and Ryan O’Neal’s son, recovering druggie/inmate Redmond O'Neal.
InTouch Weekly reports that the couple's troubled son has signed a deal "brokered" by his dad for a reality show centered around his struggle with addiction. Filming is not slated to begin until the end of this year, when Redmond should be released from prison, where he is already going through intense drug counseling.
An insider explains that while Redmond will only receive his inheritance if he is sober, he is only interested in doing so and doing the TV show to "honor" his mother.
“Redmond wants to do this to honor his mother. He really wants to get better to honor her memory," says a family insider.
The TV show will find Redmond followed by a trainer and bodyguard, and sometimes even his father, who will help him find a job and acclimate to a normal life.

I wish him the best of luck. It was a shame his mom died b4 seeing her son achieve sobriety. On another note, its hard to maintain sobriety when ur father is an enabler and druggie partner. Hence the huge blowout Ryan had with his other son Griffin who was trying to keep Redmond from drugs. Ryan hit Griffin (and Griffin's then pregannt girlfriend) with a freakin fireplace poker.
The poor kid never had a chance with those two wacko parents. If he wants to get clean and sober he needs to stay the hell away from his father.
Anything involving these 2 trainwrecks will probably be reality gold. Look how many seasons of Flavor of Love there were & shows of that sort…

I'll watch. I'm a mother and when I watched "Farrah's Story", I bawled my eyes out seeing him in shackles. I feel so bad for them and this is something that many families struggle through. I would be so happy to see him succeed!!

honestly I wont watch the show, but I am glad to hear he is interested in honoring his mother. the best way to do this is to find his own worth as a person and stay clean for his own sake.

I 'might' catch a few episodes…maybe someone needs the support of the public? At least his dad is showing him how to get a job. I hear that Ryan does drugs too so - that should be interesting?
The O'Neal's can get naked for people to watch. That's what everybody else has to do.

Ryan Oneal is a movie star of another era. He is charming and good looking. His personal life looks like it was chaos. All of his children are addicts. no matter who the mother was. BORGQUEEN #10 is right. However, I didn't like how Griffin dressed at the funeral of Gian-Carlo Coppola, son of director Francis Ford Coppola, after Griffin caused his death in a boating accident. Gian-Carlo was almost decapitated! Griffin came in an old ratty t-shirt and jeans while everybody else showed respect by dressing in black suits.

I hate to say this…The only thing that's different between when Farrah was on TV, which was in the good ole days…To now when her son is in the world of Reality TV, is that this is what makes people whacky! There's NO VALUE in this kind of crap!! Can you imagine how this would've gone over back in the day? That's cause there was TALENT!!! & it was REAL!! Such a shame!
I tell you what too, that will be the day me a$$ gets a deal, to make wads of money no less, if I got sprung out of prison, plus not being able to get a real job…He will! If he were a 'regular Joe,' he'd be better off staying in prison!
Sorry, but I also think having the media, the press, NATIONAL TV in his face as soon as he gets out of prison is a BAD IDEA!! This doesn't help him! No wonder these 'stars' go whacky too
They focus on all the bad in the end…I still say the media, etc…was the problem of MJ's demise, everything was negative! They need to be left alone!!
