Live Action Scooby Doo Is Back, Thankfully Relegated To DVD!
Is a prequel to 2002's Scooby Doo seriously in the works???
The studio is scrounging at the bottom of the barrel with this GENIUS idea!
Scooby Doo: The Mystery Begins will receive a straight to DVD release, but no word on whether or not Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. have signed on with the project.
We'll assume the answer is no!
If it's any consolation, Frank Welker, one of the original voice cast members from Scooby Doo: Where Are You? will be returning to voice the role of Scooby.
Thoughts????

it's already made; it was a cartoon network movie with a new cast.
it is in the works. it's premiering on cartoon network in September, and no they're not in it. it has Robbie Ammell & other people like that in it.
So so so bad.
Do you READ the things you post? The Mystery Begins was already shot and, if I am not mistaken, it will be airing on Cartoon Network. This movie does not include SMG or Freddie Prinze Jr. Here is what the article said …. MORON!
"Scooby Doo: The Mystery Begins, which features a cast of unknowns, will be released straight to DVD and there are already plans to shoot a follow-up.
Robbie Amell, who plays Fred in the new film, tells MovieHole.net, "There’s a second script… In the first film, we solve our first mystery - but, by the end of the mystery, we’ve destroyed a lot of stuff. The next one would be set at a lake resort, a summer camp kind-of setting, where we’re forced to work to pay off the damage we made in the first film." "
the trailers ben out for two months but here it iss
You're a bit slow. I saw the preview for this weeks ago on some DVD (don't remember) It's going to be on Cartoon Network. It's not in the works, it's finished. Fact-checking anyone?
um it's already been cast and filmed its a tv movie going to be played on cartoon network
ummm… pretty sure this "movie" is premiering on cartoon network in Sept. and no, none of the original cast is in it. so this is reaaaaly old news
it is a shame that just because they had bigger roles in the past they act like they r too good for this, i mean if they dont do it is for the money, cuz that mean they dont care at all about the rest of the people who really wanna see them in the movie
OLD AS FUCK NEWS, PIG FACE!!!!!!!!!!!!
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!! porker wheres my picture?!
Sept. 13th it premiers on Cartoon Network. The cast is a bunch of unknowns, and Fred has brown hair. WTF?
i want the original cast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! not some un-known people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Re: Maggie the great – …so so so agree with you.
Mario, you fat, balding, self-loathing, homophobic fucktard. Once again, you are late to the party. This film was a made-for TV movie, about to air on Cartoon Network in September. After, it will be released on DVD. It's a kid's movie, so it will definitely be over-your-head. You might need a translator to help you with the plot.
i used to learn scooby doo when i was a kid
Yeah I seen the advertisement and it looks pretty cute. My little boy likes Scooby Doo.
yeah pretty sure this movie is already out on dvd, saw a preview of it in with the hannah Montana DVD, looks lame, Freds a brunet in this film……………………….there all in hs bla bla who cares
Wow..OLD news! This thing is coming on tv next month, lol.
i already saw the new scooby doo movie and its a really cute movie, i mean nothing oscar-worthy or anything but its cute.
and no, the original cast was not offered parts in this version. they wanted a fresh, younger looking cast because the original cast looks much too old to play the highschool kids that are the characters.
i already saw the new scooby doo movie and it's really cute! i mean, its not going to get an Oscar or anything, but its definitely cute and great for kids.
And no, the cast of the original movies was not offered parts in the TV movie. They wanted a fresh, younger-looking cast for this version because it is a prequel and the older actors don't look young enough to play kids in high school.
sorry to post two separate comments i didnt think my original one went through
Sad that SMG and Freddie wont be in it :'( they were the best,Im not watching anyways
SCOOBY PASS THE DOOBIE!!!!
hahaha i remember being obsessed with that movie when i was little…
mario…..have your writers do some research before posing this crap…..sheesh!
i saw a preview for this on one of my dvds (maybe 17 again?) and it's a totally new cast. it's already filmed and done. do your research!
i love you perez, but it was already filmed & going on cartoon network in like, a month. waaaaaay too late with your news
x
Jesus, Mario or Barbara - whoever is writing - get your shit together. This is old news. You're seriously slacking.
i would love it, i love love love those movies, i hope they do make a new one with all original cast members
OO
RUT ROW!!!!!!!
my poor scooby…
No. They're not in it.
It's a whole new cast.
I like Robbie Amell (or whatever his name is), but I think that they should have used the original cast. I mean, they can use makeup and stuff to make them look younger. So, they should use them.
This movie will probably pretty much be a flop because they're a bunch of nobodies.
OLD NEWS!! This was annouced a while ago. It's gonna be a Cartoon Network movie, with a DVD release.
I love you dearly Perez sweetie but this move is already made and out!! It's on Cartoon Network in Sept! Whoever is working this site for you needs to get their facts checked!!!
