=[
sad.
I always liked watching him on Larry King and I always found myself surprised by the fact that he ALWAYS looked like an 8 year old with the hair and his round glasses even though he was 80 years old.
He was a special person, I will miss him.
Rest in peace DD.
absolutely loved his work, he will be missed
Oh no! He was the best. RIP

Love, love, love Dominick Dunne. My condolences.
Ah, RIP.
sad… i actually hadn't heard of him until trutv's 'power, privilege and justice' and thought he was a great talent! with all do respect, (and granted he was older) people that are/were an inspiration and made a difference are the ones that pass away, and fucktards like… (no names necessary) just keep on truckin and fuckin up and have zero positive impact on the world.
loved this guy, he will be missed
2009 the year everyone died including the economy.
Re: piggsie – I know, I loved his VF articles.
rip. i watch his show every friday nite
Kind of coincidental, wasn't his "Purgatory" book based on Ted Kennedy cover up of killing that girl????
He will be missed, a great writer!
OMG! I had no idea. I watch him every Friday on TV about the rich people.
Sad his daughter was an actress and was killed by her boyfriend. And his son Griffith played with Madonna in Whose That Girl! Oh, he will be missed. RIP!
Tough day today. Ted Kennedy now this. Wow.
Re: alyway – Thanks that's one I watch every Friday! He knew most of the people to whom the show was about. He was a mover and shaker in his circle.
The silver lining is he'll finally be reunited with his daughter in heaven. His work on the OJ and the Kennedy/Smith rape trials were phenomenal.
this is shocking…I loved his books…
I loved listening to him on talk shows RIP Dunne
So sad. A prolific writer and a good guy.
This is so sad. I really liked him. Now he can rest in peace with his daughter.
Very sad. I will miss his contributions especially to Vanity Fair which I always loved reading and which resonated because of his skill as a writer and his dedication to delivering truth and justice.
Such a brilliant author and gentleman. I love his books, tv show, etc. Such a tragedy he had to endure by having his daughter murdered. I will certainly miss this man. I think it is kind of ironic that he was getting his cancer treatment where Farrah did. Farrah's death was in the shadow of MJ's and now this great man's death will be in shadow of Slimey Kennedy. But in a way, that will take the press away so his family will have some time to grieve in private. RIP
I love Power Priviledge and Justice. You will be greatly missed Dom, thanks for reporting on all the big stories with your charm and wit.
AMAZING WRITER - HAVE ALREADY MISSED HIS WORK.
I will miss his writing. He was a gifted storyteller and writer. My heart goes out to his family but I hope they find peace in knowing that Mr. Dunne is now with his beloved daughter in heaven. Rest in peace Mr. Dunne. Your legacy here on earth will live on.
Sad… some people get all the shit luck…. first he had to live with the murder of his daughter and in the end he had to die of cancer…. I hope he's resting now
RIP…he hosted my favorite crime show
Rest in peace! Loved his articles and books. He was a voice for crime victims and their families.
Re: kbk1972 – Ted Kennedy had his flaws and made mistakes like any human being. He also spend YEARS in service of those less fortunate than him. Anyone from New England, especially those of us in UNIONS, cannot deny the good he did. I pray his soul finds peace. The rest of the country can benefit from this family's example of public service (yes I am from Massachusetts and proud of it!)
Re: ProudParentof6 – Not sure why I commented on this particular site…..greiving a profound loss to anyone who loves this country
Hope he his reuniting with his daughter…god bless.
Ahhhh
Then there are the intelligent posters here THANK YOU!!! I was real sad to hear about his death. I am a big fan of his writing, and loved his Court TV show - oh, sorry, TRUE TV now. He was working on his final book which was due in December. Wonder if it's finished and will be printed or not.
RIP Mr. Dunne.
Mr. Dunne was a talented, classy man. He will be missed.
Truly one of the all time best writers, I hope he is resting in peace. There won't be another like him ever……….
Rest in Peace, Dominick - you were a wonderful writer and reporter. Well done.
Re: JembaBemba – I know - its a shame - someone needs to write a book about the 134 crewman McCain killled on the USS Forrester when he - against all safety precautions, wet-started his jet causing a fire. Now THAT really needs a book.
he wrote wonderful pieces for Vanity Fair - he was definately one of the old school - a real gentleman - hopefully Vanity Fair will do something special in honour of him .
Nick was awesome! I'm gonna really miss his words in Vanity Fair— which has really gone down hill lately.
Re: JembaBemba – Actually Domonick Dunne loathed the Kennedy's– so it is rather ironic that he died on the same day as Teddy Kennedy. Nick would have hated that. Especially with the media lionizing Teddy so much.
A Season in Purgatory is based on Kennedy cousin Skakel murdering Martha Moxley in Greenwich, CT. Great book!!
This guy was so amazing. Loved him. Always agreed with his views!
Bummer he is gone. I rlemember when his daughter was murdered (shows you how old i am…) anyway, its true he never really recovered from that. I believe if i remember correct it was from his daughters psycho ex-boyfriend. He was so distraught. Awful for any parent to ever have to deal with. Now he is with his daughter in Heaven. RIP
RIP you can now be with Dominique again….you'll be missed
What a classy, intelligent, erudite guy. I loved his articles in Vanity Fair. Sad to see him go.
