According to the L.A. Times, California has resorted to selling items on eBay and Craigslist to clean out their storage facilities.
And Arnold is there to help!
The Governator has signed several items in order to help sales. For example, a 2002 Ford Focus with 108,000 miles on it and Schwarzenegger's signature on the visor is listed for $2,125 on eBay.
Unclaimed items and various tchotchkes confiscated by law enforcement, including a 10-carat gold ring, earrings and a seven wood coat rack, can be found at the Great California Garage Sale.
Maybe the state is bankrupt because we're paying police to confiscate coat racks!

California IS bankrupt because state law enforcement has been allowed to arrest and jail non-violent marijuana users. Every single arrest has a cost and jailing a user is an expense the state could be without. HOW ABOUT ALLOWING THE GROWTH OF A NEW INDUSTRY IN CALIFORNIA? THE HEMP INDUSTRY ANYONE!!

Hey people. This practice is VERY common among cities. My small town, where I am a Council person, also practices selling cars on Ebay or having a silent auction. The cars sold are the ones that our police force deems unfit for the road bcuz of miles, etc. We have been very successful and it opens up our receiving market. These cars are obtained through drug busts that our police force conducts during interdiction on I-85. Don't break the law and we won't take your car and sell it!
