Here it is: John Mayer in all his criminal glory, circa 2001.

The Smoking Gun unearthed this rare, never-before-seen photograph from when John was arrested for speeding and driving without a license in Georgia.

John had actually posted a challenge on his Twitter offering a $25,000 charitable donation if the pic was uncovered it.

Well, John, nice mug.

      Love John Mayer more than the average person, but I gotta say that he is the biggest media whore I can think of. WHO else would offer a prize for finding their mugshot for an arrest that nobody really knew about. Most people would be happy that it had slipped by unnoticed. Not John Mayer!! I know he was not arrested for anything that was serious, but still…
      I am disliking him more every single day.

      Umm…people are ragging on him for a mugshot? This is one of the HOTTEST mugshots I've ever seen!!! If you haven't ever been arrested (I have, 4 years ago, my charges were dropped…not ashamed to admit it) before, then you have no idea how it works. First you're questioned for like an hour, then if they can't get you to the county jail right away (you're in a big city, for example) they will hold you in a sheriff's station for 4 hours (I'm just going on my own account, and tales similar to mine) in which you are absolutely FREEZING, by yourself, and in a room with nothing but a toilet and a bench. Then, they finally file paperwork, transport you to the jail, where you are thrown into a cement holding cell with all kinds of crazy people while they process you (it took them 6 hours or so to process me into the system). After they process you into the system, that is when you FINALLY go to get fingerprinted and have your mugshot taken. So I was arrested at around 3 in the afternoon and didn't even get my mugshot taken until around 1 AM. When you're arrested for a DUI, you're obviously drunk and not looking your best. It's not like you walk into jail like you're walking into a club, all dressed nice and your makeup done so you look good in your mugshot. People are ridiculous.
