Ted Kennedy Laid To Rest On Saturday, All The Details

On Saturday, Ted Kennedy will join his slain brothers, former President John F. Kennedy and former Sen. Robert F. Kennedy, as he will be buried in Arlington National Cemetery, after being remembered and celebrated at Mission Hill church in Boston.
In tribute to Kennedy, President Barack Obama has ordered the flags fly at half-staff on federal buildings and at the White House in Kennedy's memory and he will be speaking at the funeral.
We continue to send our thoughts and best wishes to the entire Kennedy family.

He's a Democrat and held a seat - but I wish I knew what he did to actually help?

What did he do to actually help the U.S. Being a Kennedy and holding a 'seat' does not mean that one has actually helped anyone. I admire those who step up to positions in government - but he was there a Long time and I don't know if he helped anyone?

Ted Kennedy was known for crossing party lines to get legislation passed.
He authored, or was instrumental in, too many laws to list here. A few are:
Civil Rights Act
Clean Water Act
Clean Air Act
Voting Rights Act
Americans with Disabilities Act
Family & Medical Leave Act

Ted, you will be greatly missed. For those of you who don't know what Ted did for you in the Senate, please just be quiet. What he did for Civil Rights alone makes him one of the best Senators ever. If not for Ted Kennedy and many others like him in the Senate and outside it, I (an African American woman) would possibly still be required to go to "Colored only" bathrooms and drink water from a "Colored only" faucet. He was more than "just a Kennedy," he was a Great man. Was he prefect? No. Did he may serious mistakes? Yes. Was he one of the best Senators, ever? Absolutely. So, what does this make him? Human!!!!!!

No one "causes" you to become an alcoholic. Joan was responsible for her own actions and well-being.
The Kennedys have tons of money .. she could have bought the best programs & treatments in the world.
