We may have strong opinions about people, but we definitely give credit when credit is due. And Miley Cyrus is rocking our shit right now!
Unlike any of her peers, she has the ability to get TONS and TONS of media attention and also be incredibly successful - getting people to buy her music, watch her TV show, see her movies and get tickets to see her in concert.
Until now, a lot of her songs have been generic crap, but the Disney star has really stepped up her game recently and we are pleasantly surprised and genuinely impressed.
She might have a longer career than we ever gave her credit for!
Cyrus is dropping a new album for Wal-Mart next week and we are LOVING all the songs we've been hearing, like this one called Obsessed, which Slutty says is "her favorite" of the new songs.
We like it. A lot! A huge power ballad! You can tell Miley really connected to the material.
Oh, and yes, we definitely think it was inspired by a certain Jonas.

i've heard this type of music so many times before like from miraia carey and madonna. it dosen't make any difference just because miley is singing it. i really don't think its anything special.
she is doing what the jonas brothers are doing by trying to get an older audience but it won't work because the "older audience" already knows who you are and isn't going to waste their time. and trying to get an older audience is just going to lose her little kiddie fan club that isn't going to want to listen to a slow song, they like fast upbeat songs. and yes she is getting an older fan club but older kids just like her music…not her. they won't want to see her in concert and they aren't going to buy her merchandise. so instead of trying to get older kids i suggest she keeps getting her kiddie fans to roll in the money.

ok i can admit it, i DID like miley cyrus. for a while i thought she was almost refreshing. but since she is only SIXTEEN and already over sexxing it up, my opinions have changed. sure, it's not a celebs job to be a role model, but when you take certain roles(Hannah Montana) on certain networks(DISNEY) and your fan base is mainly 5-12 year olds you have some added responsibilities. that said i really did/do like some of her songs. but THIS IS CRAP! and as for her being able to sing? well sure anyone can sing if they have enough technology to tweak it. seriously find an acoustic(unedited) version of the climb and tell me she can sing then, because it made my ears bleed.
