Already!

Good news for director James Cameron. Despite a shiteous trailer, his latest flick Avatar, is going to be a pretty huge hit.

We mentioned last week that a website went live to handle requests for a free 15-minute preview screening of the flick. But unfortunately for fans, the site crashed for some time due to the demand.

Now, in a surprising move, advanced tickets for Avatar have already gone on sale.

And the movie doesn't even open until December 18th!!!!!!

Tickets for select midnight showings in about 50 AMC Imax theaters have gone on sale. And according to online ticketing companies, as of yesterday, ticket sales have been "healthy for the limited midnight runs."

Will U be booking this far in advance to watch the flick?

I don't see what all the fuss is about…blue cgi creatures don't really excite me, even if it is James Cee

Although that guy who was in Terminator: Salvation is super hot…might see it for him!

The trailer was amazing! I am so excited about this movie, you have no idea! It's going to be awesome.

    4. 4

probably not.. The trailer wasn´t too good, just kinda weird…

that this movie "avatar" uses a similar font as the nickelodeon cartoon that's also called "avatar" is beyond lame.

This movie looks dumb and the only reason i think it'll sell it is b/c people are confusing it for M. Night's Nickelodeon based movie on the avatar cartoon officially called "The Last Airbender" coming out next year.

Ok, people. you do realize this is NOT the movie based on the Nickelodeon cartoon Avatar, right? That movie comes out next year and is live action, not CGI. I have a feeling a lot of people are buying tickets because they are getting these films mixed up.

Since apparently Perez's readers do not know how to research anything at all and agree with every word that comes out of his mouth. Here is a brief synopsis: In the future, Jake, a paraplegic war veteran, is brought to another planet, Pandora, which is inhabited by the Na'vi, a humanoid race with their own language and culture. He is then given a new body, a hybrid of human and Na'vi. Those from Earth find themselves at odds with each other and the local culture.
This film is NOT based off the Nickelodeon show. It is not child-friendly.

The trailer really did suck… It didn't really give you any insight as to what it was about, either.

Re: theEmmers – Emmers you rock! I was wondering what it was about so was on my way to imdb to check it out. But your synposis was perfect. Thanks!

      /\ \/ /\ T /\ D is going to bomb hard.

Re: theEmmers – they are making that into a movie though so i can see the confusion. This may be a coincidence but he compared Robert Pattinson to a guy in this movie and Jackson Rathbone his co star will be in the avatar childrens movie.

I Love Avatar. My little brother is a huge fan. He convinced me to watch the cartoon. I will definitely see the movie…I wouldn't mind watching Laz Alonso…and his seeeeexy @ss! He did a great job in Spike Lee's, 'Miracle @ St Anna.'
