Final Destination 3-D and Halloween II went head to head at the U.S. box office this weekend, but which of the two horror flicks came out on top on opening night???
Final Destination 3-D pulled in a whopping $11 mil on Friday night, with Halloween II only earning $7 million!
The 3-D horror flick is expected to gross over $25 million by the weekend's close, with the Rob Zombie-directed scary movie's weekend total projected at a dismal $20 million (or less).

I saw both of them. the only reason anyone wants to see Final Destination is because it's in 3D. Just a marketing ploy because nobody saw the last 2 of them. The movie was REALLY BAD. Terrible acting and just shitty over all. Halloween was SO SO. The parts with Michael were GREAT> But Dr Loomis and Michaels stupid visions of his mom (who is by chance, Rob Zombie's WIFE) slow the movie down and are pointless.

Both of them sucked ass. Although I must admit, the 3-D in Final Destination was pretty cool. The movie still sucked though. Big time.
I saw "Halloween II" yesterday, the day it came out and it fucking rocked, I was really impressed! WHy people would waste their money on stupid shit like "Final Destination 9" is beyond me.

Went to the Hollywood premiere- as far as horrar flicks go- it has to be to be up there. I see this film doing a lot better in DVD Rentals tho.

Halloween II was the worst horror movie I have seen in a while (and there have been a lot), and it's the worst of the Halloween films. WTF was Rob on when he made this piece of shit? Why was there a fucking white horse in Halloween? There's no fucking horse in Halloween! The original mysterious michael is what made the series special and somewhat scary. Not this hillbilly shitty excuse for Rob Zombie to keep making films. Aarg! I'm so pissed I went to go see this!

Well I went to see Final Destination , yesterday ( friday) with my friends , and we all agree that it wasnt the highlight of are day & totally not worth the 10$ , the movie as usual was to predictable , there should have been more to it , more twists more shocker and more different , .Also I thought and maybe others did to , that the movie was to short. As for Halloween , I didnt see it yet and dont know if i will because in My Opinon , Theres Nothing Better then the Originals , remakes just take away your love for the movie.

I saw Final Destination & thought it was pretty awesome in 3D, acting wasnt good but deaths were awesome in 3D. Oh and the fact that it was in DBOX at the Mall of America (where the seats actually move kind of like a ride) was even better of an experience. i agree with demos987, all you like to do is talk junk. i thought that incident with will.i.am taught you something (at least you said it did.) this is why so many people have a problem with you. you make everything seem horrible or spectacular just to make it seem like a better story. to the extent that you change facts.
#1. $20 million is not dismal for a horror movie at the end of summer (especially not being even close to the holiday on which it takes place)
#2. why is $20 million dismal and $25 million spectacular (not that you said it was spectacular, but you did say its earnngs were "whopping.")
#3. it's interesting how you rounded up for Final Destination 3 but rounded DOWN for Halloween 2.
fyi- i am a huge fan of the original halloween, but hated most of the sequels, including the remake. i also love the FD films.

I saw both movies. Both sucked!! Final Destination 4 was the worst one out of the sequels. The only good thing is that its in 3D. Halloween was a bore. Nothing u havent seen before. Save ur money. See something else

After House of 1,000 Corpses and Devil's Rejects, Rob Zombie had the horror genre by the balls. They were amazing movies. Halloween 1 was so-so and H2 was a total waste of time and money. I am saddened by the loss of Rob Zombie as the world's greatest horror writer and director. I will not be seeing the Blob and Final Destination wasn't even an option.
Just in, Final Destination was number 1, taking in $28million. Inglourious Basterds held up at the number 2 spot, taking in $20 million, with a total gross of $73.5. Quentin must be happy.. Good film though. Friday came in at number 3 with a total of $17m. Overall movie sales were up.
I saw Final Destination 3D. It was nothing special, just like the rest of the movies… crazy death scenes trying to outdo all the other crazy death scenes they did in the previous films… but it didnt really do much for me that the other films did, it was just much more in your face…literally.

zombie says he dont like mixing humor with his horror (which I do especially morbid humor )okay fine but you got to have a real strong story line to back up all the horror and I didnt see it.however it did have some real kick ass slasher scenes,the strip bar scene the ambulence hitting the cow scene the rednecks in the cornfiels scene,I mean the bodys were piling up bigtime. I just didnt care for the whiny ballbaby sister those were the only scenes that made me want to puke,It wasnt a bad slasher movie at all but I think it could of been a little better

final destination youve got to see in 3d ir its not worth it, some of the 3d efects were pretty fucking cool,like a real good violent football game only not alot of emotion in the movie like there is in football!

Didn't see H2 by RZ, but did see Destination 3D. 3D worked fairly well. Director , writer and onset producer could have used it more and to greater effect, but not too bad as it was. If you're going to use it ABUSE IT… drive us crazy!!!

The gruesome carnage in Final Destination 2 was so over the top I had to laugh…especially the scene where a guy got squished through a chain link fence like a sieve with the pieces coming at you in 3-D! The movie was a mindless piece of crap and an entertaining way to spend a rainy Saturday.
I saw Halloween 2, and I'm not gonna lie. It was pretty damn good. I like Rob Zombie's take on the character and his illness. A little too much gore, but otherwise thumbs up!
to be honest, rob zombie films have always impressed me. h2 wasn't completely off, but it wasn't as good as the rest of his movies. with that said, it was still far better than any movie i've seen recently.
