Smoking negates SOME of the benefits of biking, but not all. And I completly agree with Rickneeds2know! Champix (I guess Canadaian version?) works soo well! I quit smoking 6 days after I started the medication, which was 2 days before the quit date I chose! Been smoke free for almost 6 months! Oh, but I'm not about to tell people they SHOULD quit. I quit because I wanted to. If people wanna smoke, let them smoke! Its their choice and their body!

Actually, exercise helps negate the harmful effects of smoking. But I do have to agree that it looks kind of gross when people smoke while they are doing anything other than sitting down. My mother once told me…"a lady does not smoke and walk" I think we can add biking to that statement as well.
Don't even bother with the bike riding if you're doing it for your health Russell….not if you're sucking on a cancer stick….you should be thinking about those boys of yours who will need you for many years to come.

More than half of my ball team smokes. The fastest running guys in the league smoke. They drink (gasp!) beer in the dugout, too. Not that it's a good thing, but at least Crowe is out biking, and it looks like he's taking a break rather than smoking AND biking simultaneously. Everyone has a vice or two.
