Congrats ladies of The View!!!
Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Sherri Shepherd are the first daytime hosts to ever pick up a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Talk Show Host as an ensemble cast!!
Sadly, Babs & Co. weren't in attendance at Sunday night's awards ceremony to pick up their statues, but the award marks the first win for The View in the Outstanding Talk Show Host category - an honor they've been up for 11 times!
Finally!
Walters, The View's executive producer and host, is "very proud of the women" and more than happy to share the award with her collegues.
Time to celebrate!

Now if they would give television viewers an award..and just go away! This show is tired and irrelevant. If not for Whoopie, it would be totally unwatchable. Joe Behar makes my hair hurt. Sherry Shephard is too dumb to feed herself, and Baba Wawa is one of the biggest narciccists I've ever witnessed. This award must have been the result of a sympathy vote. They had become the Susan Lucci of talk shows.
Just hand the award to Whoopi
They didn't really deserve it, The others in the category were terrible though.

I can't even stand to listen to their "Hot Topics" portion of the show. They all talk over each other and have completely vapid points of view. They need to reassemble the cast or quit this show altogether. They're all so awkward toward each other! It's such a cat fight most of the time and I can't relax watching the show. I watch TV to relax, not take sides. Puuuhlease.

Kate Gosselin, who verbally and emotionally abused her family on TV for 5 yrs, alienated all family from her kids, and now is surrounded only by TLC and the media is supposed to host the View! Is Barbara kidding?
But you know its not suprising because TRUMP is also an emotional abuser and she is back kissing his ass again. Love Whoopie, but she needs to jump ship. I think Gosselin is the Kiss of death on this one.
They should have got it the year Rosie was on. Even Ellen said so.

She is such a terrible representative of the younger generation of women on the view. She was put on the show to represent us late 20's/early 30 year olds…… and all she is, is a disgrace and an embarrassment. I hope people out there, don't think our generation is ALL like her! SHE MAKES ME SICK, and I wish she would shut her mouth!!

Do they deserve it… YES.. but shame on them for not showing up. I don't care who you are and how many times you've been nominated, if you have no intention to attend the awards, then don't submit your name. Oprah pulled out years ago, and thats why she doesn't attend. I think the ladies were just a little pissed that the show wasn't nominated (which was unfair).. they wouldn't even mention their nomination on the show.

You forgot to mention that they stole this award from Ellen! The view has always been there every year for those of you who didn't know that and has always been seated in the front row. I believe they are on vacation break.
