It was just last May when we told you that TLC's largest reality TV family from 17 Kids and Counting was expecting their 18th child!
Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar then welcomed their newest addition, Jordyn-Grace Makiya, this past December. But, apparently, 18 just isn't enough. And Michelle is pregnant AGAIN!
In an interview with Meredith Vieira earlier this morning, the soon-to-be mother of 19 said, “We are thrilled to announce that we found out we’re expecting our 19th child."
And despite being thrilled about the happy news, the 42-year-old Michelle did admit to the usual morning sickness. She added,“I’m feeling sick and tired, which is a good way to be feeling about right now. I always tell myself that’s a good way to be, because that means good things are happening.”
As for Jim Bob, a former state legislator, he stated, "We are so excited about this new arrival, and also our grandbaby coming."
Yes, their son Josh Duggar and his wife Anna will welcome their first child, and the Duggar's first grandchild, this October - before the Duggar's 19th child is born next March.
Michelle said there's nothing strange about the fact that her grandchild would be older than her 19th baby. In fact, she added,“My sister and my mother were having babies at the same time, so I have nieces and nephews older than me. It was a great time because we really have close relationships with my nieces and nephews.”
And if you start doing the math, Michelle's been pregnant for about 147 months of her life as of now, and she's still got at least five months to go for this next baby, so that brings the number up to over 12 years of pregnancy!

So many kids in this country need homes… would benefit from their home… but alas, it doesn't fit their religious plan. They're no different from the Gosselins and Octomom.

They HAVE money and support themselves and own their home and vehicles and such because they go on TV and have a show and do interviews. They are the same as the Gosselins and Octomom because they are using their children (unique family situation) for financial gain. When they first started their show they were struggling financially- living in a very inadequate house and couldn't finish their new one- then all of a sudden they got the $ to do it- where? TLC!

If you paid any attention, you'd know that it took them 4 years to build that house. They did it on their own, paying as they went and used their own man power. They bartered and traded for alot of the materials. TLC didn't build the house. The bank doesn't own the house. It's free and clear because of the Duggars.
As for income, they have multiple real estate commercial properties that they rent out, and they also have income from renting out their land for cell phone towers.
All of you that are bitchin' and moanin' should get your facts straight before spouting off on something that you obviously don't know about.
(And for the record, I don't necessarily agree with the 19 kids, overzealous religiousness, etc that the Duggar family stands for, but I do respect their right to do so without being treated like 95% of the people on here are doing.)

I'd much rather have people like these reproducing - clearheaded, happy with life's simple pleasures, no "addictions", family oriented, good values, no drama, much rather see them reproducing then all the screwed up people in Hollywood and elsewhere who are messing up their body chemistry with prescription drugs,pot,cocaine,alcohol,etc….and transferring it to their unborn babies. I love the Duggars…although I don't agree with everything they believe in, I think if they can provide for them and love them then more power to them. From watching the show I totally can see that they love each kid very much and they are all happy. I think children are a gift from God and that you should have as many as God gives you. We are meant to have children!

They do use birth control….I worked for an OB/GYN for 12 years, they were Mormons just like about 75% of the patients that went to them. Lots of Birth Control was prescribed. And yes, lots of babies were also born. (Mormons believe they are vessels to carry souls back into this world and the more souls they birth, the closer to God they become. Their belief, not mine.)
I would just consider them a very religious family who does their own thing. Do I agree with it, or would I follow their example? No. But just because they're different than what the majority of society believes normal or acceptable, that doesn't mean they deserve all the hatred that has been directed at them by some of the fools on this blog. (NOTE you are NOT singled out here, speaking in general)

I saw an interview with the whole family a while back, and they do seem to have it all together…even financially. However…its like a fine-tuned military camp with the kids and parents and I don't know if that is a good thing. They don't seem to have a "normal" childhood. The kids are raising the kids most of the time. I don't know….??

i really don't think they do it for the fame or the money- they love family-they love children-they love their God- they already had 17 kids when they started the show. There really isn't anything wrong with the older kids helping out with the younger ones - people have done that for centuries - kids today have too much free time on their hands and that's why so many have "issues"- hate that word and so much drugs/drinking - no responsibilities - give me the 50's values anyday - when people were polite and respectful and had manners and the Mom and Dad were the center of the family, not the children
