Hey, remember when Chris Brown had a brain fart and couldn't remember beating the hell out of Rihanna?

Well, true to form, Chris has released a statement explaining exactly why he was suffering from this memory loss:
"There have been reports on the Internet that I didn't remember what happened that night with Rihanna. I want to try and set things straight.
That 30 seconds of the interview they used of me was taken from a one hour interview during which that same question was asked something like 4 or 5 times — and when you look at the entire interview you will see it is not representative of what I said.
The first four times – or how ever many times it was - I gave the same answer — which was that I didn't think it was appropriate for me to talk about what happened that night. I said it was not right for me and it really wasn't fair to Rihanna. The fifth time – or whatever it was – I just misspoke. I was asked, "Do you remember doing it?" and I said, "No."
Of course I remember what happened. Several times during the interview, my mother said that I came to her right afterwards and told her everything. But it was and still is a blur. And yes, I still can't believe it happened because it is not me or who I am or is what happened like anything I have ever done before.
As I have said several times previously, I am ashamed of and sorry for what happened that night and I wish I could relive that moment and change things, but I can't. I take full responsibility for my actions. What I have to do now is to prove to the world that this was an isolated incident and that is not who I am and I intend to do so by my behavior now and in the future."

His defensive words were probably used against him, following physical assault. His immediate reaction, following hitting her, was to leave - not 'flee the scene.' Why do you think he chose to leave? Like all of us, we just want to chill out and allow you to calm the hell down.
Unfortunately, his actions were a little more aggressive than they should have been and now EVERYONE is painting this guy with some 'horrible person' brush. The irony is that nobody is perfect. The guy had a fight with his girlfriend and they 'both' were hurt.

Something people seem to forget is that this wasn't a slap fight between two people of equal strength. This was a full-blow beating. Once she was in the fetal position, he continued to beat her. Her face was battered, her nose and mouth bleeding. She had DEFENSIVE bruises on her arms and body, and choke marks on her neck. She had bites on her hands. When a neighbor called 911, the operator could hear her screams over the phone!
She was lying on the ground unconscious when they got there. Chris left the scene. He left her on the ground, bloody and unconscious at 1 A.M. A couple of hours later, he called her P.A. Acted like everything was OK. When the P.A. told him she knew ,and the police took RiRi to the hospital, all Chris asked her was, "Did she tell them my name?" So don't tell me it's Rihanna's fault. I will absolutely not be buying that bullshit.

He hid under a blanket in his big shot lawyer's car to go to the police station. He is getting six months of hard labor for almost killing someone. Those are the fucking facts.
