Perezicious reader Jodie sent us this awesome vid of Eric Hutchinson performing at the Minnesota State Fair this weekend!
E-Hutch was all set to open for Kelly Clarkson at the fair, but Clarkson cancelled only two hours before showtime!!!
Hutchinson took it upon himself to perform a full length show for the crowd, even inviting the kids in the cheap seats to join the rest of the fair-goers at the front of the stage!

I was there! it was so much fun, eric is a great entertainer. we didn't find out about kelly until we got interviewed about it. the great thing was that we got a full refund but still got to see eric. I'll be going to his next show

i was there at like 4 o'clock standing in front of the grand stand and she was doing a sound check and sounded just fine wtf…why would she cancel?

Kelly canceled just hours before the show… she even soundchecked earlier in the day but she'd woken up sick and couldn't hit the notes. Better canceling than putting on a show that would disappoint her fans.
He's the guy who sings that song called, "Rock & Roll"

For those of you who said that she canceled a day in advance, you are incorrect. She canceled about 2 hours before the show. She saw a doctor after the sound check and it was decided that she shouldn't perform. I was at the concert and didn't even know she had canceled until Eric H. mentioned it during the concert he put on! He did a great job and I love that you got his clip. He is a pretty entertaining guy and we were happy he still performed for us. Still glad I am getting a refund though

ok i was there (and i'm in the video). she DID NOT cancel a day before the concert. SHE WAS THERE. then she canceled 2 hours before the concert.
and the concert was AMAZING!!!!!! my friends and i ran from section h all the way to row 16. it was awesome. i'm so going to his next concert in minneapolis. FUCK kelly, i wasn't really excited to see her anyways.

I am so glad that Eric's career is taking off. I went to Emerson College with him and saw him perform a couple of times in the basement of the dorm. I even bought one of his $5 CDs and still listen to it on occasion. Keep it up Eric! Best of luck to you.

This concert was AWESOME. The only song I knew before going was Rock N Roll. He is an awesome performer and I will definitely be going to see him again!!!!!!!
AND Kelly Clarkson DID cancel only two hours prior to the show because you could hear her warming up about three hours before the show.
let's hope she doesn't do that shit when she comes to Vermont this friday.

Kelly did infact cancel hours before the concert was set to start. She did sound check and then went immediately to the local hospital.
Hutchingson did a really good job. I had front seats and the crowd loved the show
