Whitney Houston rocked the crowd at Rumsey Playfield in New York for Good Morning America's Summer Concert Series "this morning". (She actually pre-taped the performance for Wednesday on Tuesday afternoon because she didn't want to wake up so early tomorrow…diva.)
We hear she busted out a little I'm Every Woman along with songs from her upcoming album.

Whoa, she sounds really bad. Mariah and Celine rarely give good live performances anymore, that's true. But this is just really, really sad. I'm surprised she even sounded as good as she did on her CD.

She sounded like she was doing more talking throught the lyics then actually singing them. Like they say with the voice though, use it or lose it. She hasn't been singing much in years. Her voice is gone.
I like her a lot but she was not on her game. It seems she lost all of her voice she used to have. She let the audience sing all her high notes and spoke most of the song instead of sing it. I wonder what is up with that?

Well…. I'm a fan of Whitney and of the new album, but, maybe she shouldn't have done this. That performance was horrible! She really didn't sing! The couple of notes she did sing cracked. One more thing. They've been touting this as a concert. I understand from a couple of friends that she only sang three songs!!! Concert?!?!?
Man she lost her voice ! There's nothin left ! Im not a Mariah fan but for the last 2 GMAs she stood there early in the morning singing flawlessly ! Stiil remember her on GMA circa emancipation of mimi in a skimpy dress freazin cold and she still rocked that shit with we belong together and fly like a bird which are songs hard as hell to sing ! Whitney's definitely over ! her voice is gone and her album is such a friggin disappoitment ! Im hopin to see Mariah perform I Want know what love is live cause she did an amazing job and the vocals are insane but will see how that's going to be live ! if she sucks thats definitely the end of an era ! ther will never be pop singers like this 2 !

WOW. I was so hoping to hear her sound in great voice. It seems that like Mariah she has lost her powerful voice. SO SAD. She had the GREATEST GIFT OF ALL and it has been squandered. At least she has all those great old songs we can look back on.

I think great singing is made to only last a while. The same happened with Callas. It's about 15 - 20 years at he most, a great voice, but I'm stil impressed with the power of Shirley Bassey after all this time.
Wow, thats too bad, I was hoping she would have gotten back with some voice lessons. She doesn't really even sing in the song. She even told them that she talked with Oprah and her voice is screwed, last time it was just getting over a cold and then before that was crack. Her voice is shot.

All I heard were background singers that sounded like her…(ooops). Her voice just does not have the sweetness it used to have, it sounds huskier now. Her album is just OK, too many I've gone through hell and back songs. We know that Whitney, we all saw it… don't remind us…
