Cindy McCain's Head Issues!

Filed under: John McCain > Cindy McCain

wenn2094482.jpg

Before addressing the International Headache Congress (really?!) later this month, Cindy McCain is opening up about her 15 year secret struggle with migraines in hopes to inspire research.

Although it was once difficult to find the words for her pain, the Crypt Keeper tried to use a term she felt her once POW husband, John McCain, would understand.

"Torture," said Cindy. "Being tied to a chair for four days. I can't imagine how unbearable that pain must have been, but yeah, I can, because a migraine may come close."

She downplayed her pain for years because she didn't want to bother her family, along with keeping in mind John's immense suffering during his five year captivity in Hanoi.

WTF?!

"There were times when I felt a little bit inadequate with my pain problem," she admits. "But I had to get over that because I didn't live in John's shoes and he didn't live in mine. He doesn't always understand [migraines] but he knows they are real."

Life in the McCain household must be just like his presidential campaign! You make one wrong move and you get a tirade about being a prisoner of war!

It also turns out that Cindy's frail frame and designer glasses on the campaign trail were not an attempt to be a Stepford wife, but the result of how much she was suffering during that time.

"Some people gain weight during times of stress but I lose weight. I was way too thin," she said of dropping down to 100 lbs. on her 5'7" frame. "Whenever I had those huge dark glasses on, that was always a sign. Sunglasses are a migraine sufferer's best friend."

We're no doctor, but injected botulism to the face probably doesn't help!

McCain dumped his ex after she was in a car accident that effected her looks etc… of Course Cindy doesn't want to seem like a problem, even though she has all the money, she is still insecure enough to worry about him dumping her if she becomes a problem. Once he got national fame he didn't need her money as much.

  2. 2

Actually, botox is used to treat migraines! For real!

  3. 3

Since botox paralyzes the muscles, it prevents or lessens headaches and migraines

  4. 4

Actually Botox can help with migraines… look it up!

  5. 5

I'm not a fan of the McCains, but there has actually been numerous studies that found botox helps migraines. Sometimes you are so ignorant, Perez, that it is scary!

  6. 6

As a nurse, I can confidently state that Botox can help migraines! So Cindy has a dual reason to use it.

  7. 7

I understand why she wouldn't want to burden her husband, perez. You are just an idiot. Don't make fun of someone who is sick.

  8. 8

Yup, Botox does help migraines. You may want to do a little research prior to the snarkism.

  9. 9

Yeah, you are no doctor. Botox is a recognized treatment for migraine.

  10. 10

Perez, you have a black heart. Cindy would have made a wonderful 1st lady! Unlike the bigot we have now.

  11. 11

Not that I'm a McCain fan by any means, but actually, botox is one of the remedies for migraines:)

  12. 12

i have suffered from migraines since i was 6! it is so difficult to find a doctor that actually cares to check on migraines as opposed to just prescribing something and brushing you off.

i totally back her up on this as i know how HORRIFIC the pain can be.

  13. 13

If by "injected botulism to the face" you mean BOTOX, Actually Botox has been shown to be a great help to many suffering from Migraines. I have had them weekly since I was 12 years old. I have a headache more days than not for the last 16 years. I would give anything to find a reputable doctor in my area that I could pay a few hundred bucks for a shot of pain relief that would last a few whole months!

  14. 14

Ummmm….I'm no doctor, but I'm fairly certain Botox doesn't cause migraines.

  15. 15

You clearly have never had a migraine.

  16. 16

years of unbearable pain? huh…one might just call that KARMA for spreading your legs for a married man, whore!!!! :-) enjoy your migraines you dirty ho bag :-)

  17. mishy says – reply to this

    17

actually botox injections are indicated for migraine suffering…My sister is disabled and unable to work due to her chronic migraines and it ain't no freakin joke…

  18. 18

btw - botox has been linked to migraine relief -

  19. 19

Botox is, in fact, an effective medication for migraine. It will not be injected into ones face, but nonethless.

  20. 20

    Actually, botox helps relieve migraines.

  21. 21

Botox has been known to help, dumbass….do some research before you try to make a stinging insult.

  22. 22

She looks like a very old blonde versh of Courtney Cox-Arquette!

  23. 23

Maryo, you are a hateful, black hearted, ignorant little bitch and I can't wait until the next time you get your ass kicked. No one deserves a beat down more than you. Now go stand in the corner and pinch your back fat.

  24. 24

Whoaaa, when I saw the picture I thought it was Courtney Cox with makeup on to make her look old. CRAZY! They're identical.

  25. 25

Actually, Botox injections ARE perscribed for chronic migraines. I have no idea why, but I know a few people who have had it done and not for cosmetic reasons. Weird, but true.

I don't really like or admire this woman, but I empathize with her pain.

  26. 26

show some fucken respect when it's deserved mario……oh wait, you have no clue what the word means……..

  27. UGH! says – reply to this

    27

Not a fan, but she's got my support as a fellow migraine sufferer. Been dealing with them for almost 10 years & I'm only 21!!

  28. 28

LOL…well maybe the whole "botox helps migraines" is a lie. if it was true this dirty whore would have been cured years ago? no? look at all that botox in her nasty face…she can't even use her facial muscles anymore. ALLLLL that botox would have helped her if it was actually true.

thank god this bitch and her dad…uh I mean husband didn't make it to the white house, I couldn't imagine seeing her ugly mug more than once or twice a year. Crypt Keeper is RIGHT!!! LOL

  29. 29

My Perezcious has considered having botulism injected into his butt to smooth out the ugly wrinkles and hopefully do something about the ghastly cottage cheese look.

  30. 30

She had a stroke a few years back, no wonder she has migraines. You're an idiot!

  31. 31

It hurts my head just looking at Perez! Damn, he's one ugly, evil SOB!

Perez, just remember, what comes around, goes around, you F'ing, shallow loser! While I realize you have no capability to reason or feel guilt, I write so that others here know what vermin you really are. To make fun of the PHYSICAL PAIN a classy woman, who's never done you or anyone else harm, is the ultimate! You're scum. Period.

I was not a McCain supporter, but he is married to a smart, loyal, classy lady.

  32. 32

    Perez is a low-life snake.

  33. 33

ah she is scary looking here….. even with botox… damn

  34. 34

Re: RobPnMeShouldB – if you want to feel her pain, look at marios face, hurts like a mother….

  35. 35

Jeesus! What was the purpose of posting this? If people are going to be bashed, at least be equal about it!

  36. 36

pot is the best cure for the pain. I would recommend an indica which would straighten Cindy right. I do agree a migraine is like getting tortured you live in Arizona get a prescrition.

  37. kjen says – reply to this

    37

I have a friend who uses botox to help with migraines so it is a legit treatment. Also, whatever you think about politicians and their wives, Cindy McCain has given millions of her own family money to charities here and overseas without calling the media up for attention. She's started several programs to aid sick children and funded most of it out of her own pocket. Ms. McCain is actually a pretty generous person with her wealth when she could just as easily not give anybody a damn dime or care about helping others. I for one thought she would have made a great first lady.

  38. 38

Re: JigSaw – lol @ 34 - so would someone punching him in his fat ugly face! :)

  39. 39

It's amazing how ignorant you can sound lard ass.

  40. kjen says – reply to this

    40

    Re: Spindoc
McCain was in a prison when his first wife was hurt and when he was released (five years later) they went their own way. He admitted he came back different and the marriage fell apart shortly after. It's a known fact that he paid for his ex-wife's medical bills ever since, they have three children together. He pays for her home and everything till this day concerning his ex. She came out in support of him during his campaign and said that for the last thirty something years he has taken care of her.

  41. 41

You're no doctor, nor are you a journalist or a rocket scientist, b/c it has been widely reported that botox has been helping migraine sufferers by paralyzing the muscles of the forehead, thus preventing the migraine to ever begin

  42. Hoder says – reply to this

    42

Anyone, including PEREZ making fun of her for this, has never had a migraine, and quite honestly, I hope you get one now-how can you be so low-lifed and ignorant? I have suffered with migraines for 7 years now, my mother and grandmother have also their whole life. Botox is used to treat migraines although I have not tried it yet. I have lost a position (I am an attorney) at a big law firm, because they couldn't understand why I couldn't come to work sometimes because of a "headache." It's time someone is finally taking action on this.

And, do you pay attention to actual news at all? Don't you remember when Gov. Patterson (NY) first took office? He was HOSPITALIZED in the EMERGENCY room because he basically thought he was dying–it was a migraine.

  43. 43

I was going to tell you about botox treatments for migranes but it seems some people have already beaten me to it.

  44. 44

Re: Spindoc – not a bid john mccain fan but his wife and child died in that car accident

  45. 45

Bitch still stole drugs from her medical-aid charities to feed her habit.

  46. 46

the woman was making the point that while migraines cause her so much pain as well as to millions of other people, she feels a bit inadequate talking about her pain when her husband was tortured in a prisoner of war camp in vietnam for almost 6 years.
Americans always say how proud they are of their men who fight for their country yet this man is given no respect for the way he served his country. He was offered early release but turned it down, he would only accept if every man taken in before him was released as well, so he was tortured almost everyday after that.. i think obama was the best choice as president but a man who fought and was willing to die for his country deserves better than to be ridiculed constantly by dicks like u.
His wife was bringing attention to a condition that causes debilitating pain to millions, and if you had any condition like that which causes such pain, u might understand!!

  47. 47

actually, Botox does! It paralyzes the muscles and has been used to treat extreme migraines..
but I'm quite sure migraines aren't the only thing she's used Botox to treat ;)

  48. Arshe says – reply to this

    48

aww migraines are pretty darn horrible, this isn't really news or funny.

  49. 49

    Fuck You!

Do I think it's torture like what McCain went through? No. Are they debilitating, life postponing, paralyzingly bad? YES

There need to be an institute. It's ignorance like yours that pisses me off. If you've never had a migraine, you need to shut the hell up. I've lost weeks off of my life because of them. I am in serious medical debt because of them

    FUCK YOU!

  50. 50

    LADY GAGA IN 2 YEARS

  51. 51

And yes fucktard, BOTOX works! I'd rather her take BOTOX than all of the narcotics she could take…wait nevermind.

Seriously though, I've went to doctor who would rather put me on hard narcotics every day…codeine, oxycodone, etc….rather than give me a BOTOX shot. This is why America has a drug problem. It's not the streets, it's the doctors.

    And again, FUCK YOU Perez

  52. 52

Seriously, the woman looks pretty great, whatever she is doing. If she was a Democrat Gay Perez would love her.

  53. 53

    Re: Spindoc

Uhmm, dumb ass Democrats that just bash Republicans because "it's cool" should shut up unless they know the difference between effect and affect.

    BTW, I am registered independent.

  54. 54

Re: Hoder – I get them and so does my daughter. She gets relief from prescription drug sumatriptan but it doesn't help me - perhaps because I can't keep anything down. No understanding from this ridiculous asspig. An acquaintance of a friend thought she was having a stroke when her vision constricted etc. & went to hospital - diagnosis (her first) classic migraine.

  55. 55

Man she is scary as shit.

  56. 56

Migraines are terrible, both my mother and I suffer from them fairly often.
I use the natural remedy - smoke some tasty 420 and nap in a dark room. Always helps. :)

  57. 57

I read an article about migraines and one treatment that helped a lot of people was botox injections.

  58. 58

I've experienced a lot of different kinds of pain in my life, but migraine pain ranks up there with the worst of the worst. I totally feel for Mrs. McCain on this one.

  59. Ron says – reply to this

    59

They actually inject Botox for migraines.

  60. 60

skeletor just seems to be a big undercover addict to me. one thing or another.

  61. 61

maybe it is just a matter of removing that broomstick thats shoved up her ass.

  62. 62

a lot of people think a really bad headache is a migraine. if you can talk, walk, smoke, work, etc. you are not having a migraine. migraines need the attention of medical help and some tylenol and a nap won't take it away…….

  63. 63

    THAT'S IT.

I am DONE, DONE, DONE with this site. Consider this response to your moronic, uninformed, biased posting about Cindy McCain my very last. I regret to be the one to inform you, but you are a total idiot. You have no idea about anything other than Lady Gaga and "Madge", and it perplexes me beyond words how you have come as far as you have. The people in suits who are handing burlap sacks of cash over to you must be out of their freaking minds. I swear here today that I am done reading your biased, prejudiced (yes, you ARE prejudiced) comments, and if everyone else here who posts disparaging comments week after nauseating week feels the same, they should follow suit. I'm tired of making you rich. After this post, you are being DELETED from my bookmarks. Gossip is fortunately very easy to find, my friend.

  64. 64

Actually, botox injections DOES help migraines. It sounds crazy, but it really works. I'm 27 and do not need botox for wrinkles. But I do get it injected when I have a very severe migraine

  65. 65

BITCH JUST WANTS HER PAINKILLERS BACK!

  66. 66

Re: ohpleaseshutup – HAVE YOU EVER HAD NERVE PAIN OR RSD? ITS WORSE FOR SURE. ITS LIKE HAVING A TOOTH ACHE BUT ALL OVER YOUR BODY WITH MUCH BIGGER NERVES. OUCH!

  67. 67

    poor woman…migraines suck.

  68. 68

Botox does help migraines, I suffered of migraines since I was 13 years old and my doctor told me that botox is an excellent treatment for migraines because it relaxes the facial muscles. Again Perez, informed your self before talking

  69. 69

Re: RobPnMeShouldB – I can walk, talk, and work and I DO suffer from migraines. I do however take medication everyday to help prevent the mirgraine, but that doesnt sop them completely. Most days I can still function. There are those times though, where I can even open my eyes.

  70. 70

Paris, you're a dick for making comments like this.

  71. 71

Note: Botox is actually being used experimentally to treat migraines right now. It's in a trial period, but just wanted to point it out.

  72. 72

This is why you suck hairy horse balls! what the hell does migraines which i too suffer from have to do with cosmetic surgery? i mean really is this all you have to talk about these days! and whats up with yor editor?…do they not spell check your post?

  73. 73

Um, actually, Perez, botox has been shown to decrease migraines in studies recently… and I hate to admit that, as I'm not a fan of the crypt keeper either…

  74. LeeNZ says – reply to this

    74

botox is actually a common treatment for migranes as it relaxs the facial muscels that cause the condition, if anything it probably lessens her condition.

  75. 75

    Perez,
Please stop making medical assertions. Botox is a somewhat common treatment for migraines. You sound like an idiot.

  76. 76

We're no doctor, but injected botulism to the face probably doesn't help!
    -
From what I've read about it, it actually can help.

  77. 77

You are the BIGGEST FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT alive today Perez. In one swoop you show your ignorance on just about every subject out there, just because you are a fucking Democrat butt kisser. You knock a person with very real problems, knock every migraine sufferer out there, knock a legitimate treatment for the problem because you are to stupid to know that Botox is a migraine treatment, AND knock POW's all in one article. You are going to get your over-fucked ass handed to you one day very soon, and no one will miss you.

  78. @v@ says – reply to this

    78

Poor Cindy. I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Actually, Mario, there is some preliminary reports that Botox can aid in migraine reduction. Working up to a brisk 30 minute walk daily (or even every second day) can really open and increase the circulatory veins leading to a reduction and even cessation of chronic migraines. Even every second day helps, along with conscious hydration and studied, intelligent daily nutrition and lots of sleep. Light resistance (weight) training helps, too, along with a little stretching or yoga. Hugs to her, as though she'd ever read this…lol.

  79. 79

Ok, smart ass. Do you suffer from migraines? Or follow any of the treatments? Don't make fun until you know what you're talking about. And as Trixibond said, Botox is one of the treatments available for migraine sufferers. Stick to what you know, Perez.

  80. 80

You are such a fucking douche! My daughter has suffered from migraines since she was about 11, she's almost 15 now. She has had MRIs and CAT scans and there is nothing they can find, so it's not a tumor. Hers come on suddenly and she almost immediately vomits. She has medication, but it doesn't always help especially since she usually can't keep it down. For her, she needs to sleep it off. She has missed lots of school because of this. It's very painful. Botox is a treatment for migraines as many have posted here. Also, it pisses me off because if this was fucking Michelle Obama you would be all sympathetic and shit. Why do you hate the McCains so much? He would've made a hell of a better president than what we have now. Cindy McCain is a very generous person and has donated millions of dollars and lots of time to causes all over the place. What has MO done?

  81. 81

Migraines are a BITCH! I don't like the McCains but I can literally feel her pain. Poor woman! I've only had my first attack 2 years ago and oh my fucking goodness, does it HURT! People - especially men because they're not affected as often - downplay it as a "headache". Yeah right, try headache + throwing up (kinda like a hangover) + incredible light sensitivity = wanting to DIE! Forget about Advil, Aleve or anything else, nothing really helps. I have 2 good friends who get them regularly, meaning at least once a week. it makes you wanna cry! My hubby downplayed my migraines, too until HE had an attack one day and he NEVER talked shit about it again! The medical field know practically NOTHING about the origin or cause of migraines, and most painkiller are as helpful as M&M's. So, if Botox can actually bring some relief (which I've never heard of before but it's good to know), then by all means, have as much as you like!!! I'd do it , too if mine were chronic! And they do need to step us the RESEARCH, there are too many sufferers!!

  82. 82

Here's a bit of education for you Mario, Botox (botulism) is used to treat migraines. My doctor injects it into my neck to help with the tightness that comes along with the migraines. I understand he would also be happy to inject it into my jaw if the tightness started there. So guess you look like a giant loser!

  83. 83

SHE LOOKS LIKE THE MOTHER OF THE GIRL FROM HARRY POTTER…….. OR AN OLD VERSION OF THAT PRETTY GIRL.

  84. 84

Botox may be a remedy for migranes but all of you drinking the kool aid really think Cindy McCains face is stretched to infinity and her eyebrows are misaligned because she was trying to cure headaches?! Puhleeze. So I guess her years of abusing prescription drugs chased by booze are also helping her migranes. You people should have worked for her husbands campaign because obviously you guys believe in the tooth fairy, easter bunny and Santa

  85. @v@ says – reply to this

    85

If you don't eat, the headaches come. Small snacks stave headaches off until mealtime. If you don't eat at mealtimes, well, then the headache is your body's payback.

  86. 86

    Perez:
I've got Cindy McCain beat~I'm a migraine suffer since the age of 6:
I'm 55 now, have been through all kinds of meds for headaches.
Sometimes I have to take Vicodone or Hydrocodine to get relief!!!
49 years of pain all brought on by pressure/weather changes can drive
    a sane person crazy!

  87. 87

Confession: The first time I saw Cindy I disliked her. I saw her as a tart, plain and simple. The more I read about her, the more I feel for her. I learned she adopted children and had addiction issues. She may be a fake bitch, I don't know her, but I am guilty of stereotyping her as a tart based on her looks and her older husband.

  88. 88

actually perez, botox is a treatment for migraines. Some insurance companies even cover it. Do your research before you insult people so that you don't end up looking like an idiot.

  89. 89

well einstein, you certainly dont have to do much to embarrass your fat ugly stupid ass. botox IS used for migraines. wow. how fucking stupid do you have to be? you and your family are the some of the stupidest people on earth. this is your claim to fame? i am surprised you have not been beaten up yet.

  90. 90

hey perez, why dont you do something about you and your family's unbelievable stupidity. community colleges in california only cost $26 per unit. ONLY $26 PER UNIT. there is no excuse for you or your family. just a few hours a day to educate yourself. oh wait, i forgot the difference between stupid and ignorance. you cant be educated, your just plain stupid. like a brick. like a brick.

  91. 91

Re: kjen – you said "McCain was in a prison when his first wife was hurt and when he was released (five years later) they went their own way. He admitted he came back different and the marriage fell apart shortly after. It's a known fact that he paid for his ex-wife's medical bills ever since,"
    _____________________________

You are a liar, during the campaign it came out that Ross PErot had paid for her medical issues, and that McCain had pretty much ignored her.

  92. 92

Man… I created an account here so that I could be all smart and show off because my wife told me Botox helps migraines and showed me an article on WebMD stating it but EVERY SINGLE OTHER COMMENT is already about that. I'm a loser.
