Former Idol Contestant Getting Married To His Boyfriend
Jim Verraros, from the first season of American Idol, is getting married to his boyfriend of 4 years, Bill Brennan, this coming Saturday in Oak Brook, IL.
The two met after Bill messaged Jim on MySpace following his stint on American Idol.
Why don't we ever get any messages like that???? Well, Perez is not on MySpace (or Facebook). But we read all our email! Ha
Sadly, same-sex marriage is not legal in Illinois yet, but Verraros says on the couple's website:
"This wedding is a culmination of our lives so far, and our lives from this point onward. It is so imperative to the both of us that our friends and family see just how in love we are, and how happy we are to share it with everyone."

He needs to go to IOWA if he wants to make it legal. If he is worried about the "LAW" and making a statement he needs to MAKE it LEGAL. If he wants to get married NOW, then he should travel to where it can be held LEGAL by the law of that area. Otherwise, he is blowing hot air and it's nothing more than a "commitment ceremony" which amounts to a hill of beans LEGALLY. (that does NOT mean that the couple do not love each other, that's not the idea behind what I am addressing here.)
