there is no Beyonce comparison, Beyonce couldn't and wouldn't do anything this good. All Beyonce wants to do is yodel in songs and have people fawn over her. Why people think she is all that is beyond.

I'm not really feelin' it. I don't think she sounds like Beyonce at all on this track. She actually sounds horrible and she's a much better artist and has done much better stuff than this! It might grow on me…but I'll listen to her old school stuff.

This song is SOOO HOT!!! If you don't know about Amerie, you NEED to know. Shes writes her own lyrics, co-produces, co-directs her videos, and the list goes on. She's not some manufactured R&B artist like Beyonce or Rihanna. She stays true to her style and doesn't worry about what everyone else is doing on radio. She is the real deal.
Trust me folks, 2009 will be her year.
and FYI, Beyonce is the one who has been jockin' her sound.
it's all beat and no vocal substance. sounds like r. kelly produced this track. he shouldve written some killah lyrics for amerie. i can appreciate her (talent?), but she's only good for one single. step ur game up amerie. whitney's back, bidtches!

I believe she had a hand in co-writing the track, but Amerie is an artist who has substance in her music unlike other r&b singers. Youtube her songs "Why R U," "Red Eye," and "Tell Me You Love Me" which are tentative tracks on her new cd, "In Love and War." Her lyrics are real and takes a different approach.

1) Nice song…but it sounds a little too much like beyonwolf (who is utterly and completely annoying due to her greed and selfish behavior)
2) Missed AMERIE! so nice to see her back! She is totally underrated and extremely beautiful + talented.
3) Lil' Wizzy ruined the song. I can no longer tolerate is whining/rapping in songs.
All in all, I Love the track (and Amerie)…but because it's sooo beyonce-ish, I can't help but to feel annoyed while listening to it. =(

I like Amerie, but, the first two tracks leaked from her new album haven't been first listenings…….I trust the album will be stronger. Too bad, her last album was only released internationally.
It sounds like Beyonce, or even maybe older Jlo, or maybe a couple Toni Braxton and Mary J songs, because they all have taken Amerie's sound. Sure Beyonce may do it better, but she has Amerie to thank period as Crazy in Love, Suga Mama and all her dance songs take from what Amerie gave us back in 2002 with her debut, before Beyonce was a solo artist.

Also, she is actually from my state, Texas. She was born and raised on an army base in Killeen. She is soo beautiful. I like Bey, but she is hyped up too bad. Bey has a couple of great songz but I think she gets waay too much hype. Don't get me wrong Bey is very talented in MANY aspects but I was just never a HUGE fan of Bey. Wouldn't buy any of her albumz b/c she get's far too much radio play.

i don't know if she could've been able to stop beyonce's career, but if it wasn't for amerie beyonce wouldn't have crazy in love (which IMO was beyonce's only great song). she stole amerie's entire sound. 1 thing was supposed to be released before beyonce's song, but the label didn't like. this style was amerie's way before it was beyonce's.
amerie sounds good, and have some other music that she did a while back that was really banging. its about time we get some more artist on the map and she danses and act too. but the neat thing about this sexy singer is that she hold a degree from georgetown, and she is as sharp as pen.
