Regardless, members of the Jewish community think it their duty to express their strong distaste for Aubrey O'Day and her ridiculously stoopid comments (calling Hitler and Fidel Castro "brilliant" men).
Rabbi Chaim Cunin of Chabad House released the following statement:
"When a woman like her uses public airwaves, with access to millions of wonderful citizens of America, and calls some of the most despicable, unspeakable hate mongers of history brilliant, then something is lacking with her intelligence.
This is a constant reminder of how careful we need to be when we talk about hate, because hatred is always present. We need to make sure we are careful and that hatred doesn't rear it's ugly head.
'I'd like for her to think about some older Holocaust survivor having that comment beamed into their home while they are enjoying the freedom that this beautiful country provides and having to listen to her disgusting comments."

I agree with most people here who have a brain. They were brilliant men. That doesn't mean I agree with what they did AT ALL. Maybe if people didn't look out for and try to find any way to feel attacked and cry about things, they'd take her in context. Try to realize she EXPLICITLY said they did terrible things and she doesn't condone (ie: agree) with what they did, but they are brilliant. Maybe you all are wrong in stereotyping her as being a stupid celebrity who has no idea what's going on.

On a side note, the Rabbi's comment made me think of something: Does playing the "victim" card really help? I thought it was interesting how many US citizens played the victim card and started whining and suing and demanding money… but I don't recall anything of that nature in England. If I recall correctly, their citizens gathered together and supported each other and made moves to better protect themselves. I was amazed at their response and embarrassed by the behavior of the US.

- on this point, Germany has 7M unemployed people in 1933 and over 1/3 of all families were on public assistance (remind you of the US today?) with hyper inflation destroying any savings and driving mass bankruptcy. 4 years later, unemployment was 0.
4.) Design and built first car for the masses - Volkswagen (People's Car)
5.) Rapidly increased and funded healthcare and primary education (nurses + teachers, etc)
6.) Eliminated hunger and lack of heat for 100% of Germans using Winterhilfswerk
7.) Restored financial stability to the public pension system
This does not even go into the countless other technologies (military and civilian) which were invested during this time. To say that Hitler was anything but brillant is simply retarded. Say what you want about his actions/motives - that is different from intelligence.

Hitler was able to sway an entire country to see things his way and do his bidding. He was incredibly charismatic. He knew how to speak to his people and how to win them over. You need some serious intellect to be able to do what he did. But what he did with his power was wrong.
