Tom Cruise Was Rejected!!!
Filed under: Film Flickers > Tom Cruise > Heath Ledger > Johnny Depp > Colin Farrell > Jude Law
Following the death of Heath Ledger, Tom Cruise put his hat in the ring for a part in The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus to help complete Ledger's last film role.
But director Terry Gilliam wouldn't have it because Cruise never knew the late Ledger personally.
Gilliam says of Cruise's offer:
"I'm not sure if it was Tom or his agent. I know there was a period when Tom's agents were keen. The thing is, I was only interested in people who were friends of Heath. Simple as that. I wanted to keep it in the family."
As we know, Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell ended up taking over as different versions of Ledger's character for the film.
Great choices, Terry.
Best to leave Tom and his buddy Xenu out of it!

pathetic.
tom cruise is such a total and complete REJECT!
yeah, pretty sure Tome is turning D-list fast… what has he done lately??… ahhh, thats what i thought. boo.
poor tom. He was trying to cover his gayness/bisexualness by marrying katie and it ruined his career. LOL poor dude. he should revive his career by coming out of the closet.
It's best to leave Tom out of everything.
He's offensive AND arrogant.
Ohh whatever. Gossip blogs have gone down the drain. Perez please do not take the In Touch route and make up stories to gain readers attention. I highly doubt that it was really that dramatic. Apparently Tom Cruise has his own blog. TomCruis com/blog
I guess only the few people who do not like Tom Cruise are on this site. Majority of people like Tom as a actor.
Terry Gilliam is full of bullshit. I'm no huge fan of Tom Cruise, but Tom and Heath certainly did know each other, and maybe they were not friends, but they were friendly. Remember, Heath and Naomi Watts were lovers for more than three years and she and Nicole Kidman are BFFs. Heath was with Naomi while Tom and Nicole were still married. Tom even helped with the memorial service for Heath in L.A. on the Paramont lot. Terry Gilliam, knew only PART of Heath. All TG wants to do is make out how important his movie is. If TC was interested in his movie, or in helping him find a distributor, Terry Gilliam would have crawled over hot coals on his hands and knees. I am a serious Heath fan (look at my avatar) and I have read every single thing there is to read about Heath. There's lots of stuff I don't know, but this I do.
It bugs me that his 2 front teeth aren't really in the front. Ah, those Risky Business glory years seem so so long ago….
Note to producers: If you want your film to flop, just hire old Tommy boy. This producer rejected nicely without telling him the truth. But, hey, this loser knows the truth anyway. That's why Katie's working so much. It won't be long before she's on the D list too. That routine she did on SYTYCD, was pathetic. The only thing she's got going for her is a beautiful daughter, and she's good looking. In an interview once, Katie said she used to dream about Tommy boy–I'd say that was a freakin' nightmare.
HE ALSO WANTED TALENTED ACTORS….NOT BLANK EMOTERS.
Good. Tommy Girl is too busy anyway licking L. Ron Hubbard's dead dick.
Re: Alice The Asian girl – Oh, go drown yourself in soy sauce.

Tom Mapother's a closeted pansy-assed heeb.

I wouldn't even fuck him with YOUR peeny, Perezy!

He's as lame as any out there.

Not to mention he's a crazy-assed cultist who believes in a "religion" some sci-fi author concocted to bilk dumbass rich peeps like Cruise, the equally closeted Travolta and his beard, and The Fresh Prince and his dumbass wife.
*
Mapother/Cruise sucks. In all ways, including the Larry Craig toe-tapping way.

I'm still impressed that Johnny, Colin, and Jude gave the money they were paid to Heath's daughter. Good guys all around. As for Tom, I avoid all of his films out of principle… he makes me nauseous.
So when did religious persecution become ok?
Toms a wanker! who wants to see him anyway!
Tom dug his own hole and jumped. I'm doubtful he'll ever get out of it. Put your money where your mouth is and walk a few feet off the ground Mr. C. I'm not talking about jumping.
yeah I woulda kept it the same way, nah cruise pls
