Pregnant Teens Are Good For Business!

Remember the teenage sluts girls from MTV's 16 & Pregnant? Well, they're coming back!
No, they're not pregnant again. Well, we hope they're not anyways!
According to Variety, MTV is planning a spinoff, titled Teen Mom, which will follow the lives of several of the once pregnant 16 year olds and their regrets of not using protection struggles of being a mother.
Broken dreams always makes for good television!
The network has ordered eight hourlong episodes, which are expected to air early next year.
What do U think of the idea?
Will U be watching??

Re: Emma1786 – good for you. :]
stay strong.
I was just graduating Highschool when I got prego. I took off a year after I had my son. My parents said I could live with them while I went to college. It was not easy but He was my responsibility. I am now 31 and my son is 13 and I have a 2yr old. My fiance and I have been together since our first child, we both work full time and always have and own a house and car. To say that these girls are sluts and call them names is wrong, not all teenage moms are horrible. Untill you have been there shut the hell up!!!!
it's fking stupid to call them "sluts." they had unexpected pregnancies and NOTHING about it looked easy. They all struggled and if you watched the reunion, you would see how they still are trying to make the best out of a messed up situation. ALL of the girls said they wished they'd waited, so it's definately not being glamorized. And in all honesty, if someone would've wanted to bed Perez when he was 16, you KNOW he'd have jumped on that shit without a second thought.
regrets? maybe they dont regret it, thought of that you ignorant fatty?
sluts? just because they were young and stupid, does not make them sluts. yes, they should have been on some type of birth control, but shit happens. at least they are taking care of their babies. almost every single girl on the show had a boyfriend and are still with them doing the right thing and raising their child. i applaud all of those girls for being so strong and dealing with the hand they were dealt. of course i will watch this show. i would love to see how they are doing now with the new babies.
I fuckin' love this show. Maci's episode was my fav
I LOVE THE IDEA.
16 & pregnant is my 13 y/o niece's favorite show. I was THRILLED when she told me, b/c she GOT IT.
She was like, "how are they gonna go to college now or travel to places like Brazil? And ew, who wants a fake ring from Walmart?"
I was like AMEN. I think every young girl should watch this show. A child isn't a doll and they're A LOT of work which will alter your life. And pregnancy is the easy part, so I'm excited about the show. It's a public service.
Re: RobPnMeShouldB – LMFAO so true now thats something i would watch!!! haha
I'm Glad they're making it into another show. I think this show portrayed the hardships of teen pregnancy which is becoming a huge epidemic in our country. Kids need to know about sex, safe sex, abortions, and adoption. I think once youth of the US sees this they will think twice about having a baby or unprotected sex. MTV is doing a very responsible thing with this show
emma1786 your immaturity is showing.
Re: cat1329 – @110 - yeah, i thought the same thing…..
I had my daughter at the age of 16, not smart! But I don't regret it and im not a slut. I finished high school, went to college, and married my high school bf who is the father. I'm now 20 and I love my life and wouldn't change a thing, cut the girls some slack every day for them is a million times harder than the normal person…try going to sleep at 4am after the baby finally falls asleep and then wake up at 6am to get ready for school. Use protection but if accidents do happen try to make the best of it!
I will most definitely watch. I loved 16 & Pregnant.
Hmmm…don't think it's necessary to call them 'sluts.' Do the guys that got them pregnant get the same labels? Teen pregnancy is not a good thing, but demeaning the girls that get pregnant isn't going to help them move forward and create positive lives.
Re: gogirl1 –
If you ever watched the show you would definitly know that it isnt glamourized whatsoever… they actually make an ass out of themselves but i think its something that a lot of teen girls should see because ALOT of them are going thru phases where they want babies… i mean as a mom, would you rather educate them (bc sometimes the facts arent enough and they need to actually see it) or would you rather be a grandmother at 35… think about it… its not a stupid idea.
I think your kinda rude to be putting down teen mothers, since 16-17 yr old girls are most likely on your site the most. Accidents DO happen, and once they do you have to live with it. I suppose everyone on here would say oh its better off to get an abortion huh? Come on..age is just a number, if they can love, and support their child, what does it matter if theyre 16, 26, or 36?!
AND PS TO EVERYONE WHO IS SAYING THIS IS A TRASHY SHOW… LOOK AT THE WEBSITE YOUR ON MORONS!!! THIS HAS TO TOP IT, BELITTELING PEOPLE AND DRAWING ON PICS WITH PAINT….. I MEAN COME ON, IF YOUR TAKING THE TIME TO WATCH THIS… WHICH DOESNT TEACH YOU ANYTHING, TAKE A LOOK AT THE SHOW TO SEE WHAT ITS REALLY ABOUT!!
AND AFTER ALL IS SAID AND DONE, ONLY THE TEENAGE MOMS ARE TAKING THESE INSULTS! WHAT ABOUT THE GUYS… WHO DONT WANNA WRAP IT UP BECAUSE IT "FEELS BETTER" COME ON!!!! THINK ABOUT IT!!
i'll definitely watch it.
one of those girls on there are from my town (rome, ga) I forgot what's the girl's name, the one that lived with "Memaw" anyways, I was so upset how our town got pictured as a "hick town" I mean it's a little country but my goodness! It was so bad!
YAY!!!!! I CAN'T WAIT >:O!!!!
Fuck u perez I was a big fan till now. So what if they get pregnant at least they are being responsible and taking care of there kids. SHIT HAPPENS… a lot of teens are having sex and just because they got pregnant doesn't mean they weren't trying to be smart about it!
i hate to say it but i LOVED this show!!hahaha
Re: gogirl1 – dude fuck u. Just because teens get pregnant doesn't mean they can't support their kids. u need to get the image that all teen moms end up on welfare. From: A TEEN MOM who is IN COLLEGE and doing it all by myself without WELFARE or help from MY PARENTS or HELP FROM THE DADDY. Oh shit. And my kid is thriving thanks
Re: cat1329 – well meet me. Not on welfare, had a baby at 16, in college, the babies dad isn't around, and I support my own damn self and my kid
oh and did i mention NO WELFARE, NOT A DAMN DIME FROM THE GOVERNEMENT FOR ANYTHING INCLUDING SCHOOL!
f MTV it sucks, tells me nothing about music. never watched that show sounds awful. I just wanted to say to MTV change your name. your so not music television anymore.
I watched this and it pissed me off. Teens crying about oooo I need some me time when the reality sets in of having a baby. Stupid idiots. There isn't any you time when you have kids. My sister had a baby at 19 and was a single mother. She did it on her own and never once complained about her wanting some alone time or any crap like that.
Simple solution, you don't want to give up your partying life or whatever then, don't open your legs or use some freakin birth control.
i dont think 16 and pregnant glamorizes pregnancy at all! it scared my little sister ! seeing all the hard stuff they go through
Re: farts happen still – mistake? no, no, no honey. forgetting to write your name on your math exam is a mistake. getting knocked before you have your learners permit is not a "mistake". I like to call it "fucking up your life as you know it and embarassing your family"
Everyone is saying this shows crap, But maybe younger girls and boys will see it's not always easy or fun to have a kid at a young age! So the people that think it's TRASH maybe your wrong!! And PEREZ there not sluts!! your a asshole!!!
I think it is a good idea as long as dr. drew is involved I think it would show the struggles of being a teen mom. Maybe it well scare som teens straight I hope they have the smart ones that gave their baby up on the show.
what happened to "MUSIC" television.
Fucking little girls need to stop being so damn desperate to have kids.
i would definitely watch it. i watched the entire season & the finale, they made me smile & cry, it's amazing. & fyi, they KNOW what they did & they're not trying to glamorize it at all, they're telling ppl to use protection.
FUCK MTV
I am a 31 year old married mom of 4 and I loved this show. It didn't glamorize the pregnancies at all; it showed the heartache and struggle. I would watch the updates. I would love to see what has happened to the girls and if some of the families are still together.
Yes I will watch, the show was good.
and they aren't sluts, they just made mistakes.
Stop being mean.
i'm sorry but these 16 yrs old are practically babies themselves…yes, they may feel that they are old enough to have sex…but woops, how did this pregnancy happen…illustrates their total immaturity. These little girls and boys are emotionally immature, as well….seriously not a putdown but fact…their brains and bones are not even finished growing yet!!!
Kiddies: wait until your older to have sex then it will be/feel even better…physically and emotionally!
YEAH BTW / WTF HAPPENED 2 'MUSIC' MTV?!?!?!
i think 16 and pregnant was a great show..only one girl out of them all didnt have a long term boyfriend. they were not sluts..this shows 16 year olds and younger how scary it is to have to deal with a pregnancy.almost all of these "kids" took care of these babies on there own. now i do think that they should show some more kids that dont have rich parents to buy them things. but most of the kids on here did it on there own with some or little help from the parents. i thiink it does a good job of showing how difficult it is to raise a baby it is not glamorizing it at all. i would love to watch teen parents to see where they are now and how hard it is for them.
If everyone who has something negative or destructive to say about these teenagers watched the show, they would realized that this show does not glamorize teenage pregnancy at all. The teens in the show all made a mistake, yes, but instead of getting an abortion and KILLING their unborn baby, they gave it a chance. One girl even gave up her child for adoption because she knew she could not support her. If anything, the show discourages pregnancy. The girls on the show are not sluts, their simply girls who were brave enough to deal with their mistake as opposed to covering it up with an abortion.
Wow, it takes a lot of class to call a child a "slut". Grow up…everyone makes mistakes and they learn from them.
Your an idiot calling 16 year old girls sluts. What do you contribute to society other than verbal diarrhea, lets face it your just too lazy to get a real job how do you sleep at night making money out of being an arsehole. Karma is a bitch
Damn can I have a damn show !!!!!!!!
yay!!!i love 16 and Pregnant!!
You know what, I became pregnant at 18. I watched a few episodes of this show and it made me sick. First off, it seems to be condoning their behavior, and secondly it makes things look too damned easy. All those impressionable young girls out there are watching this show and thinking it doesn't look too bad. Trust me, it is the hardest, most stressful STRUGGLE that anyway can ever face!
Re: tool_girl – Amen to the Scrubs reruns! lol
Re: RobPnMeShouldB – Good point! Or the mother's who allow their 16 y/o to marry the idiot who impregnanted her. AS IF it will EVER last!
Re: lauraNessa – So right! They ARE practically encouraging teens to become pregnant. Maybe if they do they can get on an MTV show too!
i honestly think that this glamorizes teen pregnancy way too much. i mean, teens will want to go and get pregnant just for the publicity, and also wen teens watch how well they r doing as being mothers in the show they r probably gna start thinking its easy 2 b a mother and will want to do it, even thou it isnt easy at all!!!!
i mean it glamorizes it and all, but also i find it satisfying to c that these girls took a responsible turn and did the right thing for their kids, althou i dont think its very wise to put it on tv.
Re: gogirl1 – Have you seen the show? It does NOT glamourize anything, it shows how much work and stress and horribleness comes with getting knocked up as a teen. The girls get dumped by their baby-daddies and they get bullied at school etc.. definitely not glamourous.
I LOVED that show so I'm looking forward to an update…it doesn't glamorize teen pregnancy it shows the reality of it…you're young, you can't get any sleep, you never have enough money and your high school sweetheart might not always want to stick with you just because you have his baby…
This is disgusting. Girls need to learn to keep there legs closed.
Re: calliecakes – I def agree with you…
Why must they're boring lives be televised…oh fucking no! they have a baby last I checked alot of people have children lets follow millions of them around with cameras too. They don't matter more than anyone else…who gives a fuck if they can't party and hang out anymore? We all get it, ALMOST EVERYONE who commented, being a teen mom is hard…but DON'T sit there telling your whole life story now
Love how everyone is saying being a teen mom is a big huge struggle, life was already a struggle, you just complicated it.
i will never find it socially accteptable for child to have a child and just because someone is in a commited relationship doesnt its time to have children. my and bf have been together for 2 and a half years and guess what we dont have any kids! why because were only 19 and still in school. heres a crazy idea how about waiting to have kids when you can support them and fyi if your 16 and pregnant you are a dumb slut.
Get knocked up and get your own show.
this is probably the most (only) intelligent comment in regards to this story, but, seriously the title "teen moms" implies that it's an unplanned pregnancy.
however, in this case every one of them will have been married (obviously) prior to getting pregnant. so it totally takes away from what would be interesting about it…
i mean they got married young (i get that being semi interesting)
but having children after marriage (what's so shocking about that? so what that they're young ? they got married first!)
other than the fact that they're missing out on opportunities (that they could have and/or should be accomplishing in life) , this has no significance to them being young.
It's horrible that you all are referring to these girls as sluts, trash, etc. They are doing their best with what they've encountered in life. At least they didn't use abortion as birth control! They decided to grow up and deal with their new situations. God gave them babies when He did for a reason. Who are you to judge them?
I liked the last season because it wasn't how I thought it would be! I thought it would be whiny teens complainging about their mistakes, but the girls actually turned out to be mature and you really get hooked on it. I will definitely be watching! We all just have to accept that its a new age, and this is how things are now.
Re: Emma1786 – Apparently if you've haven't mastered how to use birth control correctly after sooo many attempts you shouldn't be screwing
Re: Emma1786 – What world do you live in? congratulate them for what? Not knowing how to take dick without getting pregnant? Honey it doesn't take talent and having a kid when you're still relying on your parents is the "right" thing to do? I applaud girls smart enough to give there OWN life a chance before bringing another one into it. People like you thinks a an 8 year old having a kid is a blessing.
Re: xqueenx – I'll support that!!!
maybe im gonna wach it but mario those girl r not slut they only been rape n other they dint use condom by being stupid
Them being pregnant is not what makes them sluts.
It's the fact that at 16 years old they are sexually active.
And still, I wouldn't call them sluts, just gross, maybe trashy.
Yeeeep. I never watch shows like that anyway, shouldn't it be on TLC and not MTV??
16 year olds get pregnant all the time, and it's a horrible thing. They don't need to have a TV show.
If you have sex while you're still a kid, you're an idiot.
ppl that r stupid and young should def tuned in maybe their will learn a thing or two I did turn in for the show but it wasn't necessary for me i know how to use birth control and keep my legs closed when their need to b close…it just sad how many young(without a brain) teens don't know have to use proctetion..sad just sad….and MTV is very desparate i mean all of their shows now suck maybe this will save their ratings n THE REAL WORLD is a total DISAGRACE CANCELLED THAT CRAP ALREADY
Re: buck – I TOTALLY AGREE SLUTS…I MEAN I AM 19 AND I WHEN I WAS AROUND THOSE AGES I MANAGE to keep my legs close until i was old enough but now at days this girls r all brain wash with the idea that if their don't fuck their little sex crazed boyfriends their r doing to b dump which is true but bull these girls should take more value to themselves…instead of being a air head and jumping in some boy's dick
That's not cute!!!
ugghh… it's an eye-opening show is it hurting or helping teens? exploitation much??
Re: gogirl1 – "the little skanks"
i fell pregnant when i was 16 i was not a skank i was on the pill and fell pregnant wasnt anyones fault, it was something that shouldnt of happened but it did instead of having an abortion i took responsablity for my actions. now im 21 i have 2 children with my partner of 6 yrs and we r finacially stable. not all teens are bad parents or sleep around.
Seriously, don't call these girls sluts. A slut is someone who sleeps around with many guys. The girl's all knew who the fathers were. As a 17 year old girl, I know that I would not be able to handle taking care of a child, going through the birth process, or even thinking about abortion or adoption. I give props to the girl from Algonac who gave her baby up. I would not be able to handle that if I was a teen mom, or even when i was older. Yes, they made the wrong choice in not using condoms, but maybe it was their time to have children, you never know. My grandma had my mom at a very young age, and I know that she has never had second thoughts about keeping the baby. If she would of gotten an abortion then i would not be here today. So please, do not call some girls that you don't even know "skanks" and "sluts", they have made a mistake but they are owning up to it. Unlike some teen parents that just have a baby and throw it in a garbage can.
