Klingon look-alike Robie Lynn Jenkins and her boyfriend, Tremayne Spillman, are facing felony abuse charges after their pitbull chewed off the toes of their 4-month old son.
Disgusting!
The North Carolina couple claim that they were taking care of the child on Monday during the attack.
The follicly challenged, mother-of-the year was taking medication and allegedly did not the hear the baby's cries, despite sleeping in the same room.
Apparently, they only discovered the missing appendages when changing their son's diaper the next morning. The child may lose the rest of his foot.
So sad!

Oh my gosh!! That is soo sad! How the eff do you not notice that?! And…how was the pitbull able to get to the babies toes so easily? The kid should of been in a crib. My prayers to little boy. I'm also wondering how they raised their dog; having been around pitbulls…I know that they can be the sweetest things ever…provided they're raised correctly.

FYI Perez, they weren't sleeping in the same room. I live in Jacksonville. She says that she placed her FOUR MONTH OLD on the couch in the living room. She and her boyfriend then went to the bedroom to sleep. Leaving a child that age unattended on the couch is bad enough. She was also dogsitting a 12 week old pit bull, who ultimately maimed her son, who is now likely going to lose his foot.
She looks like Mommy Dearest. That bitch was high on crack. Take the kid away and never let her knew him.

If anything they're just too enthusiastic, not violent. Some PEOPLE should not own or breed pitbulls. In the right situation they are wonderful dogs.

How heartbreaking!!! How could anyone have allowed this to happen to a poor innocent baby??? She claims to have not heard the baby even though she was sleeping in the same room?!?!? WTFE I find that EXTREMELY hard to believe no matter how much "medication" she had taken. Being a mother myself I remember when my child was first born being terrified I would not hear my son if he woke while I was sleeping. I found that my maternal instincts took no time at all to kick in. Even that very first night the slightest noise and I was up and to him in a second. And I'm a deep sleeper.
How sad that this poor innocent baby could lose his foot because of her careless ness. If the baby was only four months old he should have been in a crib or bassinette and the dog would not have been able to reach him. How could anyone be so careless with a child. A child is the most precious gift anyone could be given and should be loved and protected. I hope that the child is taken away from this horrible excuse for a mother. I also think that before going to prison for a while, the mother should have to soak her feet in raw hamburger and then put in a room with a ravenous dog and see what happens. An eye for an eye…or should I say a toe for a toe.

I have had over 30 rescue pits from local shelters and rescues over the last few years. Never once have been bitten, or attempted to have been bitten. I never have a dog returned that has been fostered and adopted out by me, many live with families with young children. I work independently with many area owners helping train and understand the dogs they own. Whoever thinks that they are all vicious has never met a true pit bull and has seen some inbred mix that isn't genetically stable.
Having met one of Michael Vicks former dogs and seeing the potential from her, it shows the true nature of properly bred pit bulls, no matter the purpose of their creation.
Sick.. Fucking sick.. We need to go back to the old ways.. If you steal, cut ur hand off.. If you kill, hang em' high in a tree for everyone to see.. Crime rate will drop so dramatically, and the world will be a much better place.. Put the fear of God in this bitch, and I'll show you a reformed woman.. Sick ppl.. I Grew up with pitbulls and they are loving animals, but they are animals, first and foremost. Unfortuantley, once an animal has attacked a human, the chance to repeat, goes up, and they need to be euthanized. It is very sad, but nessasary. As for the parents, they should be tortured for the rest of their lives! God Bless this little boy. Hopefully he will find a safe home, and a family that will have the means to give him a beautiful future, and mental and physical rehabilitation, he needs.

It's apparent that some people commenting aren't even parents. You do NOT wake a sleeping baby. If it's 4 months old and sleeping through the night, you don't force feed it and you don't wake it to change it's diaper or you could set up a very bad sleeping pattern on a child who is sleeping. Dog thing aside - the stupidity of some people commenting on parenting amazes me. But of course, the whole story isn't posted here - so people just whine and complain and say "omigod!" I wasn't there, and I think there are some issues with these people, but for one thing - it wasn't even their pit bull and there was another child in the home who apparently didn't hear any cries either… not all babies scream murder when they are in pain either. My oldest son sounded like Chewbacca, my youngest would instead almost stop breathing and whisper "ahhhhhh", then gasp then go over again since he was born.
The father tells the 911 operator the mother has been taking something that "knocks her out" yet he was there too and didn't hear the baby screaming? The baby was on the floor, while a puppy (regardless of the breed) is running around the house? Idiots. There was a woman here in Houston that severed her baby's genitals and blamed it on the family dog. You never know with people.

Read the damn story, you idiots. It was a 12 week old puppy that chewed off one toe off the baby. Both the pup and child are innocent victims. Yes the puppy was put down and inspected for rabies..which is ridiculous. The puppy was just being explorative just how they are around that age.
The real fault is in the parents in how negligently they took care of their child and that puppy they were watching over for a friend of theirs that got arrested. Those two idiotic parents deserve to be in jail for a while..away from kids and dogs.
What you failed to mention was this dirty whore lived in a tiny trailer with her jerk boyfriend. they were dogsitting with the dog locked in the bathroom. the skank took sleeping pills and passed out. in the middle of the night, one of her 3 OTHER children (that were in the trailer) went to the bathroom and let the dog out. the dog chewed the poor baby's toes while it layed DIRECTLY NEXT TO the mother on the bed. 3 other children and 2 adults and NOT ONE PERSON heard the baby cry. she is a waste of a human life! just thought people would want to know a little more indepth how absolutely pathetic this woman is. love you perez!
I guess you didn't hear about the 3 month old Lab puppy in Oklahoma a year ago that actually KILLED a baby by chewing off its feet? The 17 year old mother was in the next room, passed out, and claimed she didn't hear the baby screaming.

I just watched the video…the pit is a puppy. Seems like he was chewing like any puppies do…the baby could have had feet that smelled interesting to him…or he was trying to get the sock…etc. With the baby screaming and squirming the puppy probably thought they were playing. You shouldnt leave your baby alone with any puppy or dog.

But it has really been a major major disturbance in the community and it for one sickens me. I own a pit bull dog who has never ever been violent or aggressive towards children or other dogs alike. These people were on heavy drugs and that baby was left on the floor. Because of their negligence, the PUPPY had to die and the doctors had to amputate the baby's foot. I cannot see how anyone would just leave heir baby unattended while they are passed out on drugs. I mean, I've taken sleeping pills and any loud noise could wake me up. This bitch was on something much heavier…heroin? I hope the parents are drug tested and she loses all of her children. don't people ever learn? never leave a baby/toddler/kid alone with a dog, especially a PITBULL. Even if the dog is good, you never do that. Some dogs don't know any better…and some kids don't know any better either cause they can end up hurting the dog and making it snap.

I know some pits can be raised by responsible adults who don't use this breed as a threatening status symbol, but the majority don't do this. To think that you can control this breed around babies and small children (or anyone) is a ridiculous notion. It's like trying to say that a tiger can be raised by people and will be safe around kids. Not even a grown man can contain the strength of these dogs.
