I love it. I sort of fell out of love with him when he came up with Rudebox. By far his best album was I've Been Expecting You and this new song (which hasn't stopped playing on the radio all day so far) is definately old Robbie with the catchy pop tunes. However, I sense an Ian Brown influence in the hark philosophical lyrics, orchestral sound and rhyming and I'm going to doubt Mr Brown (one of the greatest Britpop influences ever) finds Robbie's change of style a compliment.
this is SOOO redeeming after Rudebox!! I think he suffered big time after losing guy chambers as a writing partner but this is absolutley brilliant!

OVERPRODUCED, THE BACKGROUND WORK IS GOOD BUT THE SONG ITSELF IS LACK LUSTRE. HEARD THIS SHIT BEFORE WITH SOFT ROCK GROUPS. DOESNT REALLY WORK MIXING GOSPEL, ROCK, AND GAY VOICE, SHITTY LYRICS. NO WONDER HE'S NO BILL BOARD CHART MAKER. STAY IN LATIN AMERICA AND TURKMENISTAN WHERE U BELONG.

This sounds AMAZING. I heard it this morning on BBC1 and was really anxious to hear his comeback. I LOOOOOOVE IT. America doesn't "get him" cos he's never really tried to break America much but in Europe he's HUGE…bigger than Britney or Madonna. Another American here who loves Robbie, Rudebox and all! Can't wait for the new album, this single is a promising start. And to the person who said essentially if you are not big in America then you are basically nobody…screw you. Robbie has more money and fans than he knows what to do with. I don't see Justin Timberlake or Beyonce et al. in the Guiness Book for most concert tickets sold in a single day. No, my dear, that would be the big "nobody" Robbie Williams, according to you at least.
I am proud to be an American and a ginormous Robbie Williams fan! Rudebox and Intensive Care are BOTH awesome CDs. I still listen to them daily, along with all of the Robbie classics. This new song sounds equally good and I can't wait to hear the entire CD and see the new videos! YUM!
