Simon Misses Paula!
Simon Cowell has finally decided to speak about Paula Abdul's departure from American Idol.
It's about damn time! Everyone else has!
Cowell tells Extra that it's "different" without her and he "misses her".
Aww! Is the hardass judge going soft?
Simon says "the chemistry between the judges is different without her". We blame Kara DioGuardi for that. Besides, Paula's been there since the beginning!
When his ex-girlfriend, Terri Seymour, asked him to explain more about the chemistry being off he said "It's like comparing a carrot to a banana".
That's an inneresting comparison.
But Simon isn't worried about Paula's future because she's "someone who will always work."
Obviously. The bills aren't gunna to pay themselves!
She seems to be doing just fine, though, since she landed the hosting gig for VH1's Divas Live and guest starring on Lifetime's Drop Dead Diva.
We're interested to see how this next season will be without Abdrool. Even though it won't be the same, it'll be nice to see some fresh faces on the judging panel like Victoria Beckham and Mary J. Blige!

As much as I love ya you are wrong to blame Kara for this. What happened with Paula is Paula's fault, not Kara's. We all have to take responsibility for ourselves and our actions, I am not saying the producers of American Idol do not have any blame, that I would not know, but it is not Kara's fault. There was trouble with Paula before Kara even showed up.

Come on people.. Paula, no matter what she says is higher than a kite most of the time.. it might be pills or alcohol but she is unpredictable and slurs her words and is literally a freaking mess… good luck with her finding another job that is going to put up with her!!!

The chemistry between Simon and Paula was UNBELIEVABLE!!!
You could tell they really wanted to "get together".
Now the chemistry is gone. So is the show from my line-up. Their chemistry was a reason I tuned in (it certainly wasn't for the talent; or lack thereof).
It was funny watching those two argue cuz you could really tell they had the hots for each other. Sorry Simon, you should have helped save her job there.
She was asking $10 mil, which is A LOT less than you and Randy are getting paid.
MARY J BLIGE IS AS GHETTO AS THEY COME. SHE BARELY PASSED HIGH SCHOOL IF AT ALL AND VICTORIA BECKHAM IS A PRETENTIOUS BOURGOISE PRINCESS. WOW, AI IS FULL OF GENIUSES. I LIKE PAULA BETTER. AT LEAST SHE'S CONSISTENT WITH THE DRUNKEN ACT.
I wish people would be nice to Kara. I loves her!!! I like that she gives actual criticism but she does it nicely. If I were on AI that's who I'd want to judge me. The only think I don't like about her is that they brought her on too late. She should've been on there from the beginning. It makes it really ackward for her and for the audience.

Don't care either way. Won't watch AI anymore after this year with the big joke of Chris winning over Adam. What I find the funniest is Simon always acting like he's at the mercy of the higher ups when he's actually the producer of the show. He can have that show and any of the others he produces any way he wants.
I'm really not interested without Paula. It was fun to watch her and Simon and all the rest.

I always pretty much ignored Paula, most of the time would Tivo AI and zip through everything except for the actual singing, plus Simon's comments. But the whole AI thing has peaked, anyway. I don't think they're going to find someone new who's going to be as talented as Adam Lambert and Jennifer Hudson (with Carrie Underwood coming in 3rd). I predict they're going to do a couple of more seasons crowning people who will end up singing on cruise ships, and then bail.

Mary J may be able to help salvage the show but I doubt it. Allowing Paula to leave was a huge mistake & Kara is total boresville.
