This morning, Susan Boyle can wake up with a happy face: She has the most anticipated album in the world!
The release date for her album, I Dreamed A Dream, was recently announced and as of this morning, she is putting other HUGE names to shame by being the #1 album on Amazon.com.
Just who did this Britain’s Got Talent diva beat out for the top spot?
None other than the comeback diva herself, Whitney Houston, who just released her album this week, and the Beatles’ upcoming remastered Abbey Road !

Fact: Susan Boyle is just a faze. People will get over her in the next few years or year. Whitney Houston is a legend and an icon and has been for many years. People will always secretly like Whitney because of the real talent she had and showed years back. She still has it tho,just has a harder time showing it now. Susan Boyle is talented, but comparing her to Whitney is like comparing apples and oranges. If you ask people today who their fav singer is or was some would mention Whitney Houston on their list and say they still have her albums and records. But Susan boyle would not be mentioned.
I will be sure to rememeber to buy it in Novemeber.

Whitney Houston’s long-time record label, Arista, manipulates diva’s comeback
After a disappointing performance at ABC’s breakfast show, Good Morning America (or in Houston’s case, Good Afternoon America), there has speculation around the industry regarding album sales. Reports that Houston’s comeback album I look To You were on shelves a week prior to its 8/31 release date have been called into question. Sales were manipulated by Wal-Mart and other retail giants via instruction of Arista to count those sales as pre-orders. In essence, album sales for Houston’s first week will include a two-week total.
Calls made to Arista and Wal-Mart were not immediately returned.

Already pre-ordered Susan's IDAD yesterday. Not a Whitney fan (ever) but wish her well in her comeback. I expect Susan's voice (& CD's) to hold out longer than Whitney's. To each, his/her own.

She was overcome with emotion with all that she had been through. what a lovely talent to have been discovered. well deserved Susan. I am sorry about your critics. Some people need to do this. Yes, already ordered a copy. Don't think it's necessarily fair to say Susan Boyle's bigger than Whitney given that Whitney's CD is selling really well in a bunch of different venues (and Amazon is only a portion of overall sales). BUT, it is very impressive that Susan can generate such buzz months before her CD is released.
