Blame The Pain Meds!

Remember when we reported Melanie Griffith had checked back into rehab?
Now we know why!
Pain meds, which were a result of three knee operations after a ski accident.
Unfortunately for Melanie, after 6 years of living the clean and sober life, the drugs caused her to relapse and enter the revolving door known as rehab.
But she wasn't forced! In fact, it was Melanie's idea to go back.
Husband and heartthrob Antonio Banderas told Ellen DeGeneres on Wednesday that "In March, she came to me and said, 'I'm feeling a little bit weak in my determination for this … so I just thought to go to rehabilitation by myself.' ".
Luckily for her, she has the full support of her family. Banderas went on to say "…the whole entire family is supporting her, and I am supporting her, and at this particular time more than ever. I'm very proud of her."
Hopefully after this she'll stay on the clean and sober path!

So then she is now admitting that her publicist was lying when he said that her visit to rehab had been pre-planned years ago as a check up and that she was still sober, not taking drugs and this was like a little vacation for her etc…
Can't gossip mags start saying to publicists "I'm sorry, but your lie is so ridiculous that not only won't we print it, but we'll assume that the truth is the oppisit and run with that story.

I've had several injuries AND surgeries in the last two years! I took pain meds and quite a few right after surgery! I went off of them with NO problems! Why do all the stars have issues with pain meds??? Of course the common person does but come on HW, enough is enough! Get off of them and get real! I'm SURE it's not just pain meds, it's probably something much stronger!!!
she was clean only six years? jeez, that means she was using during pregnancy, and during her daughter's infant/toddler years. charming. her husband is proud? He's a smoker, so their kid has virtually no chance, particularly because her parents are shallow ciphers. but Stella is beautiful, so she can ride that.

She has been on drugs and/or alcohol most of her adult life. She has been in rehab several times. And now even her husband is lying for her……too embarassed about the situation or "for the kids sake" I guess. Problem is when she gets clean she still has to look at the awful things she did to her face with plastic surgery and she still smokes. Smoking is a form of self-abuse. Melanie will never be really OK.

And Melanie? My god that woman looks HORRIFIC. Melanie looks like crap on a stick. At this point, honestly, who WOULDN'T cheat on her? Antonio would probably divorce her except he probably feels sorry for her and would lose money in the divorce.

What you were probably given after surgery was something like Vicodin or Percocet, right? A short course, right? That's what the normal average person gets and is just fine with. What you don't understand is that you can't see past your own experiences to know that there are bigger and badder substances out there. Take me for example. I am on 20mg of Oxycontin a day, plus 2 Percocet every 4 hours. And that is a SMALL dose, according to my doctor. If I were to go off that, I would be thrown into painful withdrawls. So what does the average person in THIS situation do? GET MORE DRUGS. There is where the addiction starts. So until you have the ability to use your brain and comprehend things beyond your OWN personal experiences, shut the hell up about what you don't know about.
God she looks rough!! I am about her age and I don't have a single wrinkle on my face compared to her. Look under her eyes!! Her MOTHER looks so much younger and better than Melanie does. She just looks terrible and her face looks like shiny cheap plastic. What on earth does Antonio see in this insecure, grasping, unattractive, clingy old bag?

It always amazes me when people say how proud they are of druggies going to rehab.
vicoden and percocet should be discontinued,the massive amounts of tylenol that goes with them can kill your liver before the hydrocodone. Good luck to Melanie on getting off the pills.Once you have an addiction,you are forever an addict and can never use these pills again. You will always get addicted again. Its a very serious struggle and one that turns deadly,refer to Heath,Anna,my brother,etc.I hope God can help you,and yourself.God bless you,you'll need it.
